A day in JB Part II – 二重丸 Japanese Restaurant

Our part II continues here… We went 二重丸 Japanese Restaurant for our dinner.  After Xiu Yan told me of this restaurant, I went to search for some information and comments on this place… and reading some food blog that this restaurant is rated as “Die Die Must Try!” dining place in Johor, so it  was inevitable that I must pay them a visit when I step into JB. :P

When we reached there, it was still early. So we took a walk along the stretch of shop houses and bring the boys to a shop selling fishes. Finally it is time for some serious business… please don’t be mistaken, I meant makan la… While we are ordering the food, the boys were very busy with the warm towel…. wiping their hair, leg or hand. :P The light snackThis potato salad is nice, will definitely order it on my next visit. Oh my… I am already planning for another visit!!! :(Fried Pumpkin – Really yummy, it doesn’t taste abit like pumpkin. Worth a try! Spicy Ramen – This is normal. Grilled Salmon set – This is also normal. Ok.. you can give this a miss. The Kani Maki or Soft Shell Crab Sushi is delicious. The Tobiko was sparsely coated and the sushi rice taste very fresh. The soft shell crab was well deep-fried and doesn’t come across as too oily from the oil it absorbed. Japanese pancake – This is not under my list of favourite. The boys were fighting over the watermelon that comes with the Set meal, so Bing Heng Daddy order this fruit platter for the boys. As soon as this was served, the boys were instantly grabbing for it.Just look at Javier… mouth stuffed with watermelon! both hands also holding on to watermelon. It’s sour.. really very sour… oops I mean the strawberries. I guess you can imagine how sour it is from Bing Heng expression. :)It was quite scary, but we managed to wiped out the dishes. It was truly a waist bursting meal and at the same time so fulfilling!!!!! We took a group picture before we happily leave the restaurant with a very full stomach
