Books that Jayden Read - November

These are the books that Jayden read recently.

Most of the titles are really worth reading and have really good review,  but I would  just mention 3 titles which we liked best:

Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson

Wonderful story of an imaginative mouse who while taking a walk through the woods makes up a story about a animal he calls a Gruffalo , he makes up this animal to protect himself from the various predators (fox, owl, snake ) that want to eat him .He succeeds in frightening away the animals ,but than he meets the animal of his imagination a Gruffalo….  It is quite enjoyable to read this story and great illustration.

At one point of time, Jayden likes this book so much, I was intending to do a lapbook on it.

I’ll teach my dog 100 words by Michael Frith

Actually This book was meant to borrow for Javier. It is good in teaching  sight words and count to 100. But I guess Jayden is far more interested in it than Javier.

It is a funny book of a young, pet owner plans to teach his dog 100 words, impressing the entire town - including the mayor. Simple words like "walk" and "beg" are only the beginning of the plan. He also intends to teach him "stand on Uncle Abner's thumb" and "paint the road from here to there"... Plans, however, are one thing; getting started is quite another.

Click Clack Moo Cows that Type by Doreen Cronin

Jayden instantly fell in love with this book with his hilarious story plot. They thought the animals going on strike was hilarious. We really loved the ending with the ducks. This book is good for Jayden as it is not to difficult and it have got wonderful illustrations and repeative wording. Even I burst out laughing as I was reading it with him. :P
