Drawing Fruits

Recently, Jayden seems to love drawing fruits. Everyday when he comes back from school or when he is free in the night time, he would be seen drawing fruit trees. Perhaps it is due to the recent learning in his kindergarten on the topic of fruits. Another favourite creature of his now is earthworm.. currently he is a crazy about a book we read on earthworm. It’s a must read book for him every night. And he told me the long thingy in the drawing is the earthworm and it is eating the watermelon. :P (Hmmm….a bit yucky)

Under the sea craft time

My boys love doing craft especially this type, where they got to stir, dip, mixed as many colour as they like and getting messy all over the place. In fact they asked me quite often for it which I seldom say ‘yes’ lo. Cos it really get very messy!!!! :P

Although its already 9.30pm when we came back from Jayden Berries Class, but to the boys, the night is still young and we are really in the mood for some craft. So here we are with our stuffs….. ready to do some serious painting and stamping.

June holiday Art Workshop

I signed up a holiday art class for Jayden from 15-17 June. I thought it would be great to let Jayden learn to draw and paint independently with the use of various art materials; since I observed that he do have the interest to draw at home.

We took back the 3 art pieces which he did for the past 3 days. The lesson proceed with the teacher explaining the theme of the drawing for that day, then proceed to show the kids how to draw. From there on, it is up to the kids to draw the picture themselves and decide for themselves the colour for the painting. The colourful Slide

Scratch Art

I bought back some Scratch Art from The Art Pencil where Jayden had his art classes. The kids were very keen to do it upon seeing it.

It is not too difficult to do it. There is a wooden stylus provided to scratch off coating the and expose the beautiful surface underneath.

Marble Painting

We did not have any plan to go any places as Jayden is not feeling well since Saturday. Instead, we engaged the boys in home activities and craft sessions as requested by Javier.

To do this marble painting; You'll need :
- Poster or tempera paint
- paper
- container (Any shoe box, cake box or box lid)
(and I make a clever decision to to this art in the corridor, as it can can get quite messy when the boys get absorbed in the painting.) and washing the corridor is much easier as compared to cleaning the house)

Making Xmas Ornaments

I was at my brother place and saw this lovely christmas tree and thought that it would be nice to hang a few handmake felt cloth ornaments on it. I don't have much time to sew as didi keep disturbing me when i sew. So I managed to make 2 pc for my niece Gladys to hang on her xmas tree. I sew one giraffe and one circle which her initial on it (Specially request by her).

Sewing Fabric Frog

This is my first sewing project using fabric. It is definetly much difficult to sew compared to sewing felt cloth. But the final look is quite nice, at least Jayden recognise that it is a frog. Initially when he saw me sewing it, we have the following conversation:

Jayden: Mummy, you sewing a teddy bear
Me: I sewing a frog
Jayden: Oh, you sewing a clothes for the frog arh..

Haha.. mayb he see the fabric so colourful, thats why he think I am sewing clothes bah...

I spent almost 1 day to complete this frog, it is much longer than what I have expected. Next I would be doing a cute owl for the boys... My big project for this year is doing a patchwork blanket for Jayden and a quiet book for Javier.

I hope I can finish these 2 project by Janaury.

Felt Cloth Teddy Bear

This Felt cloth Teddy bear is a special request from my niece Glenda... She wanted a pink teddy bear. But i feel that it look a bit funny, mayb it is due to the shape of the head, it is not round enough...

Yesterday when i was cutting the cloth and the round shape for the mouth.. Me and Jayden have a conversation as below:

Jayden say "oh, mummy you making a pig huh!!!
I say" No lah, it is not a pig! i am making a pink teddy bear for glenda"
Jayden say" I also want a colourful teddy bear, the pink is also very nice"
I say" Ok, i will make one colourful one for you"

Dont' know why Jayden like pink, he like sweet sweet colour like purple, pink... I told him those colour is for girl, but he just don't understand.

This morning I show them the bear i made yesteday nite, Phew, both of them managed to recognise it and told me it is a bear.. luckily they did not say it is a pig. If not how can i give it to glenda.. cos she want a bear not a pig mah... haha...

These few days, i have been staying up till very late at around 1am plus to do all this craft. But i really enjoying doing it, don't feel tired at all.
