Letter B (Lesson 7)

Today is the last lesson for Letter B. We have a fun and short lesson to sum up our learning for letter B.
Tracing of Letter B

I hold Javier hand to trace the uppercase of lowercase b.

We have a few practice for writing letter B

Matching Flashcard with things starting with B
I gave Javier the banana and told him to put in on top of the banana flashcard.
We did the same for all the items.
The things that start with 'B'
Javier enjoying his biscuits after the matching activity

Bunny hat
First, I write letter 'B' on the construction paper and then let Javier design the hat.
I let Javier paste some cotton wools for the bunny ears.
It took sometime for the paint to dry up and the cottol wools to stick onto the paper. But the end work is so cute. Javier like to wear it so much.
Numbers

I use the bear to teach javier about numbers and colours.

He is not very interested to do this activity, mostly is done by me. But I will explain to him as I arrange the bear on the card.

Letter B (Lesson 6)

For our lesson today, we did 2 crafts which is a boat and a bug craft. We started with the bug craft using plaster.
I assisted him to paste the plaster on the paper as he still cannot handle the plaster very well. once he wanted to paste on the paper, the plaster will become crumpled.
Next, we add in the goggly eyes for the bug.
Our 3 cute little bugs. I drew some stars and moon for the bug, Javier also want to add in some cloud on it.

Next, we did a boat craft, I cut the shape the day before to save time
Javier applying glue on the cut out shape to paste on a construction paper
When I was not looking, he uses the crayon to draw on top of the glue :(
Our blue boat in the blue sea
We also did some button stamping on the Letter B.
And paint stamping would lead to Javier messing with the paint. He told me he want to do a hand stamping also, which I gladly help him.
He saw me using the paint brush to apply the paint on his hand. As so call 'monkey see, monkey do', the little monkey also help himself with the brush and apply the paint on his own hand and stamp it on the paper.
We did a fun activity of blowing the cotton wool
Our last activity for this lesson is sorting m&m, and definetly Javier favourite activity for today.
I put 5 colour bowl from ikea and tell Javier to sort the m&m according to the bowl colour.
He was not really concentrating in sorting the colour, he is more interested in eating. So i took the m&m and ask him which bowl should he put. You know what he told me???? He say put into his mouth!!!!!! Oh dear, my little greedy boy... But he still managed to sort all the m&m with some help from mummy.
After sorting, I let him have some of the m&m which he quickly stuff it himself in mouth. :)

Letter B (Lesson 5)

Today we continued with our Lesson on Letter B.

We started of with pasting some body parts for the Letter B. But Javier seems more interested in playing with the glue than pasting.

Admiring his completed work
This is our Mr Blue B holding a baseball bat
Next we do some colour sorting using foam and clothes peg. I cut out 4 foam rectangles of 4 different colour. Then I let Javier use the clothes peg to clip onto the foam. Initially, Javier have a hard to opening the peg, but with a little assistance from mummy, he can handle it very well after a few practices.
After clipping all the pegs onto the foam, I talk to Javier about the different colour again.
He like doing it. After completing it, he would take out the pegs and do it all over again.
Next we also do a craft on Bat, I trace his hand on the construction paper for the bat wings.
Then we paste the fangs, wings, head and goggly eyes on a orange construction paper.
Our bat
The next activity is done by me, I just want to use the pipecleaner and bend into the B Shape and show Javier

I have done quite a number of Bs, Javier is also interested to bend the pipecleaner.
When he saw me draw butterfly on the drawing, he say he wanted to add in the caterpillar also.
Recently, he like the 'The very hungry Caterpillar' alot. He would ask me to read it again and again (for 2 months already).

Next, we have a really fun activity--- blowing bubble in the water.
Javier enjoyed it alot.

In action
After blowing a while, his hand also went inside the cup of water. :(
Our last activity of the lesson is broccoli stamping,
A lovely picture done by Javier and me. I add in 2 boys playing ball, which I told Javier one is gorgor and one is didi.
I also read 'Baby Bear Baby Bear What do you see" to them. The 2 boys like this book very much.

Letter B (Lesson 4)

Due to the New year festival and Javier falling sick for these few days, We have stop homeschooling for 1 weeks plus. I seems to have lost the momentum for the homeschooling and feeling quite lazy to start the activity with javier. But nevertheless, I am adamant to start it again today. But we will take it slow for today activity.

We started the stamping of letter B.

I bought this alphabets stamp from causeway pt popular.
Jayden also joined us for today lesson as he is not feeling well so I did not let him go to school.
The completed work done by Javier, Jayden and Mummy.
Next, we do a craft on bumblebee
Most of the bumblebee are coloured by mummy, Javier helped me to put on some dots on it.
I used the pipe cleaner for the bumblebee antenna and stinger at the bottom base of B.
Adding the wings using black construction paper and baking sheet.
Putting the goggly eyes on the bumblebee
The bumblebee
After making the bumblebee, we sing a song on bumblebee. Javier was so happy, he pretend to be a bee and fly here and there when I sing the song. :)
Next, we do another craft on bus.
First, they paste the wheels on the bus

Follow by pasting 4 windows on the bus.
Our bus.
We sing the song "The wheels on the bus" after making our bus craft. My boys like this song alot. When I sing this song, Jayden would sing with me, while Javier play with the bus we have just made.
The last activity for today is sorting buttons. I gave Javier some black and white buttons. Then I show him how to sort the colour and put into the bowl. With a little help from mummy, he did it very well. He got all of it right.
Jayden was also very keen in this activity, although it is abit too simple for him.
After we end our lesson, Javier keep playing with the bowl, he take all sort of things and put it inside the bowl.
'Big' or 'small'..... haha... are we gambling???? Haha... of course not! I am just asking Javier to guess how many buttons I put underneath the bowl.
We have a fun lesson today. I realised that Javier enjoyed the lesson more when Jayden is around. He is very protective and caring for his gorgor.
