MTP Session II 2011

We met up with Jayden’s teacher to better understand on Jayden’s performance and progress for this half year. Frankly, I am really thankful to all the teachers who have been with him and taught my boy so far. He is really blessed to have been able to meet so many caring, kind and patient teachers who guided him along for all these years. He has blossomed from a shy and someone who doesn’t talk and mixed around with other kids to one who now enjoys making new friends, helpful and willing to share his knowledge and skills.

Jayden 6th Birthday Celebration in School

{Blink Blink} It’s already the 6th Birthday! I guess the boys are eagerly waiting for today to arrive. Though it sounds funny that Javier is excited too…. but he seems more excited that his brother. Once he came back from school, he simply decided to forgo lunch and wanted to dash to Jayden’s school. :O which of course is stopped by me as it’s still early.

With the goodies bag ready, we are also ready!!!!!

Hope Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony & Concert 2011

We were excited, I mean which mummy and daddy wouldn’t? :D Today is the day which my boy would be performing in school. Well it’s always a touching moment when I see my boy perform on the stage…. as I watches him perform,  I would be wowing in my heart and thinking my boy has grown up and he is really great!!!! Our kids is always a ‘star’ in our heart no matter how they did on stage. Though he is not the best among the group and even seems abit blur and misses some steps, but it still brings a smile to my face whenever I look at the video. Hah.. that’s my boy, abit blur blur and always in a daze (even when performing)!!! :P

To Hope Community Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony cum Concert on 20 October 2011.

Frankly, I am really looking forward to this day, looking forward to seeing my boy perform up on the stage, looking forward to seeing him wearing his graduation robe on this special day. The day is soon to arrive to mark the end of his 1st stage of his school journey and getting ready to embark on another journey~

Finally…. I got back his graduation photo which was retake a few weeks back. This is much better than the previous one, at least this look much more like my boy. :D

Happy Teachers’ Day

I am deeply thankful to the teachers who shower my boys with love and patience in school and all the hard work and efforts they have put in, for educating them. 

On this special day, I decided to prepare something for them, {cranking my brain} which is pretty limited. :P Thus I decided to bake some butter cupcakes.

Looking at the photos he brought back today, it suddenly hits me that 2 years seems to zoom by in a flash … In a few months time, Jayden would be graduating from Hope Kindergarten. And soon entering into another chapter of his schooling journey.

 

Happy 46th Birthday to Singapore

The school had a early national day celebration today. My boys were so excited as it means that they don’t need to go to school for 2 days!!!! :P

Term 2 @ Hope Kindergarten

After the meet up with the teachers, we brought back the school work which Jayden had done in school. It sure is alot of worksheet that we brought back, but at least Jayden doesn’t complain it to me.
Beside that, there are holiday homework for them to do. I was telling Jayden to try to do the holiday homework whenever he is free at home (the best is to complete it by today… :P), and he replied me that teacher told them to do only 1-2 pages per day. :D

The worksheet wasn’t too difficult, and he managed to complete the English homework this morning. (He would always choose the English over the Chinese work to do first at all time.)

Meet the Parents Session

Time seems to past so fast, Jayden would soon be graduating from his K2 in another half year time to another new stage of his school journey.

Today, I met up with his English and Chinese teachers to better understand about his progress in class. Both teachers comment that he is serious and take pride in his work and can do his work independently , pay attention in class. (huh… I was thinking are you sure you are talking about Jayden???? keke.. I know I sound bad, but he is never like this at home… :D Even my mom laugh and seems inconvincible when I told her this. :P  )

But on some occasion, he do has his moment when he hand in slack work; when he wants to finish his work fast to play toys or with his friends, he tend to zoom through his work too fast, with careless mistake here and there.

That is what Jayden told me when he show me the is craft that he did in Hope Kindy today. I like this craft alot, its very colourful, and well-coloured.. and Jayden is much better in his colour combination now. When turn the stick, the parrot flip to and fro.

I like most of the crafts that Jayden did at his kindy, it’s very creative and attractive. I have even put up the crafts on one corner of my wall. :)

Jayden’s Education Trip To…..

For a Marine Experience for the K2 kids. Jayden was so excited and looking forward to it… that he kept reminding us to wake him up early on the day of his excursion! :D

The programs for this visit is

• Discover the Hunting Habits of Sea creatures
• Exhibits of Poisonous Fish
• Exploring Sea-Shore Habitat
• At the Touch pool

He benefitted much from this trip, and couldn’t wait to share with me the things he learnt there today when I came home. :) Just that he was complaining to me why he is unable to go for LongKang Fishing and only the Nursery Kids are able to. :P

A Glimpse at Jayden K2 spelling

I am getting quite lazy…. to update on Jayden’s school work. Since lunar new year is almost over, and I am having some free time.. it is time to type up my backdated post. :P

For Jayden, he doesn’t give me much problem in his hope kindy school work beside writing the Chinese characters which he would miss a stroke or wrong sequence of stroke.

Well, for the spelling, it is not a problem for him (perhaps his strong phonics background helps alot), but 听写 is a teeny bit of problem for him.  And another thing is that I noticed that his handwriting has improved so much as compared to last time. :)

K2 听写 week 3

From week 3 onwards, the 听写 is no longer 2 words but in sentence instead. Thinking back my times, my K2 听写 definitely isn’t so difficult. :(

I am glad Jayden is still coping well in his studies. So far, he doesn’t have much problem in his  听写 or spelling.

First Day of School 2011

My boys were so excited as they get ready to go school today. I guess no words can describe their anticipation to go school, they were busy posing and jumping about when I took the camera to snap pictures of them in their uniform :P … So let’s let the pictures do the talking!!!!!

Improvement….

I was looking through Jayden 听写 book, and I realise my boy’s handwriting has improved so much as compared to 6 months ago. Although most of the times, he still write his words or Chinese character ‘too big’, but I can see that his handwriting now is already quite good.  Now 6 months ago

Jayden 5th Birthday Celebration in school

Finally the day is here… Jayden has been waiting for this day till he almost become a giraffe (wait until neck long already.. :P) Of course the dinosaur design cake was chosen by himself.

When we reached the class, the kids were just queuing up to go washroom for hand washing before their snack time. So we started setting up the cake and all the other barang barang. And of course, Javier was really excited to be here celebrating Jayden’s Birthday. He sat there waiting for the mini celebration to start. :)

Hope Kindergarten Concert 2010 – Our Colourful World

Finally our wait is over… today is the day of the Kindy Concert. :)When we reached there at 9.20am, the concert hall was already very packed. So we din managed to get a place to sit on the ground floor, so we got to make do with the seats on level 2. Nevertheless, the view was still very good!
