Lapbook on Angry Bird
It’s been a long long time since I last do lapbook with Javier, mainly he do assessment books which he usually can complete by himself. Thus while he do his work, I can do something else. But sometimes I do feel that doing assessment book is a bit too dry and he doesn’t enjoy it much. I would think that Lapbook is much more interesting for him. He was so excited when he saw this materials on the table yesterday and couldn’t wait to do it.
Well, I choose a fairly simple one for him today as our holiday activities. Such that he finished it so fast, but I am glad to see that he enjoyed the process of doing this lapbook. (at least not much complain coming from him as compared to doing assessment book)

Tiger Lapbook
This is an overdue post on the lapbook which we did during the June holiday. In conjunction with the Tiger Lapbook, we read a book “The little Babaji” where the story took place in India. Thus I briefly touched on the country India, actually I have prepared some materials related to India, but I never include it in our learning for this time.

Are You My Mother?
I had decided to do this lapbook, partly due to I like this story alot and since Mother’s Day is just around the corner, I feel that this would be good lapbook to do with the boys. Normally I would take 2 weeks to do a lapbook with Javier. I feel that it is a very comfortable time frame for us as I normally cannot do much learning on Thursday and Friday as I need to bring Jayden to his enrichments, so most of the learning would take place from Monday to Wednesday and Saturday.

Homeschooling Week 31st and 32nd
This is a long overdue post on our “Good Night Gorilla'” Lapbook activity. The reason I did this lapbook with Javier is that he loves this book so much. Although this is a simple story with few words, but it has great room for discussion.

Homeschooling Week 27th & 28th (25 Oct – 07 Nov 2010)
I was surfing the net looking for good books for the boys and came across this book which I think should be quite fun and interesting to do a lapbooking with Javier based on the “The little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry and the Big Hungry Bear. For my lapbook materials, I printed the material from here.

Lapbook- The Grouchy Ladybug
A Lapbook is a variety of mini-books, flaps, and folded display material about a topic, all the books are put together in a large folder. The finished product is called a Lapbook because it's large and covers your lap.
I got this idea of Lapbooking from a mummy homeschooling blog. I feel that it is really fun and a great way to teach the kids. I have started this Lapbooking a few months back in July. The grouchy ladybug Lapbook is my 2nd Lapbook with Jayden.
