We did a lapbook on Christmas and part of the lapbook is based on the book ‘The Snowy Day’. We printed most of the stuffs in this lapbook from here.
The book cover done by the boys. The inside of the lapbook. It consists of simple activities that kept them busy for a few days.We did counting from 1 to 20, and get Javier to paste the stars on top of the xmas tree. Jumble alphabets Javier match the uppercase and lowercase of the alphabets and paste on the drawing paper with a little help from Jayden. Sequencing game which he is still not very good in. Alphabets spotting. He can do this by himself without any assistance. What is White? We learnt about things that are white. Practicing his pre-writing skill.A simple activity on shape matching. Alphabet dot to dot joining. Jayden did this Maths worksheet. I spend some time explaining to him how to solve it, but he still couldn’t get the logic…. until I used his Ben 10 toys to show him how to solve the equation. Aha… it was so much easier!!!!
Beside that Jayden also did a activity on story sequencing. Based on the story, he would need to arrange the card in order.
More activities to be continued in Part II.
Choon Yen,
ReplyDeleteSide track.
It so happen a reader asking me about lapbook and I recommended your site.
One pointer for you to consider. At your side bar, beside the letter, just update beside the letter that you use Lapbook to teach that letter.
Eg. Letter S (lapbook)
Hmmm... thanks for the idea!
