Mummy’s Birthday Dinner

It was a early birthday dinner for my mummy as next week would be a very busy and chaotic week as school would be starting, thus we decided to have this birthday dinner today.

Actually I have been having hearing rave comments about this Japanese Teppanyaki at Jurong Hill Top since many years ago. I have long wanted to give it a try but because of the ‘Ulu’ location, I tend to give it a miss time after time. Ok.. back to the restaurant… Jurong Hill Top restaurant, as what the name suggests.. is located on top of Jurong Hill, right above the Jurong Bird Park and overlooks the entire Tuas/ Jurong Island. For this restaurant it has 3 sections: Teppanyaki, Japanese and Indonesian and of course our main intention here is TEPPANYAKI!  We were lucky to booked a private function room just for the 9 of us, so I don’t have to worry about my playful boys disturbing other diners.

To the zoo!

D was will be clearing leave from today till the end of this week… :D So we ask the boys where they want to go… and without much hesitation they shouted ‘Zoo’. So off we go!!!!! As usual, the parking problem was so bad, we gotta parked our car along the roadside outside the zoo and it took almost 10 mins to walk to the zoo.

Gladys 8th Birthday Party

It was a very busy day for us, rushing here after attending the wedding lunch. My boys have been looking forward to this birthday party since they knew about it. They were even singing a birthday song for Gladys on the way here. :P

As we were early, we went to my brother’s place first.. oh in case you are wondering…. the party is held at the function hall at the void deck.Getting ready for the party wearing the party hat.

Wedding Lunch

We were being invited to Malay wedding Buffet Lunch today. I must say that the decoration of the Malay’s wedding is getting more and more sophiscated and lavished  exquisite. I really like the decoration and the settee for today’s wedding. But it was quite a pity that we did not met the bride and the groom when we were there.

The place for the bride and groom to sit to receive blessing and photo-taking.

It was really nice of my neighbor – Desmond family to invite us to a Christmas buffet lunch year after year. It was like a mini gathering with my neighbors for a chit chatting session. The Indian style buffet.

An impromptu Play date

It was a last minute decision to meet up with my friends at Northpoint as I need to pop by at the library to get some books. We went for our lunch at this Chinese Cuisine restaurant called "MAYIM - 天乐里" after walking around for a good 10 minutes deciding what to eat and finally we decided Chinese cusine would be a much better choice for our kids. Looking through the menu, I find that they have a wide varieties of dishes range from snacks to main course and dessert… and I flipped through the menu for a few times before deciding what to order.

冬至

“在冬至这一天,是 一家大小一起搓汤圆,汤圆滚好了先祭祖先,然后一家人一同 分享,象征圆满丰收,融洽温馨的意思”

I feel that today is such a joyous occasion to spend some time with close family members, eating some 汤圆 and chit chatting. Thus I decided to bring my boys to my brother’s place today to let them play with my nieces. I think it is quite fun for the kids to roll and make the 汤圆 themselves. Although my boys did not get to make it, but at least I let them try it which they did not quite like the taste. :(These are the 汤圆 made by my nieces.

Very Hot!!!!My funny mushroom Head!

He is the comical man in our family who bring laughter to us with his wired questions and funny speech. He is one brave boy who fear no one by his ”舅舅", one stare from his 舅舅, he quickly drop his head down and keep extremely quiet… keke…

Now, with the arrival of this little “monster”, my present life is more CHAOS now as “fight”, “quarrel” often break out in the home between “them” not once but few times a day!!!!

However, I am so used to them with me now, I really cannot imagined life without them anymore. So however much I am pulling my own hair and struggling with each passing day, frankly I enjoyed my times with them!!!! :)

Berries Graduation Certificate

Wow… times seem to zoom by so fast, Jayden has been with Berries for half a year. And I am very pleased with his improvement, he can recognize much more Chinese words and knows alot of Idioms now, not only that he likes to use idioms in his conversation when he talks to us now. (Really 学以至用!)

He would be continuing Berries for the P1 Preparatory class on Jan 2011.

Learning Parts of Car

In conjunction to our transportation theme, we do a learning on the parts of car. I show him the individual card for the different parts and at the same time use a toy car to show him the actual part. In this way, he can visualize and relate the picture card to the actual car better.

Books that Javier read - November

Javier bookWell, some of the books here are chosen by Javier. As you know, Javier is so crazy about animals, any books which have elephant, giraffe or rhino would definitely be a hit with him. So it is no wonder most of the books he choose would be animals related.

Just me and Javier shopping togather…

Chinese New year is just 1 months time away… So I guess now is the best time to shop for my boys new year’s clothing. Since Jayden is away at my MIL place, I decided to bring Javier to United Square to do some shopping. It is much easier to handle 1 kid myself instead of towing 2 kids with me.

Indeed it is a fruitful and eventful day for us. :) Basically Javier is a very well-behaved boy if he is alone with me. Javier posing for me before we set off for our shopping trip.
