We make a trip to the Singapore Art Museum today after Jayden’s class. And I can say that it’s a blast with my boys.
Walter the Bunny
Jayden just got a scolding from me and was weeping.. and Javier was making fun of his weeping. :(
Upon reaching, my boys were already being attracted by the vast numbers of train tracks in one of the exhibit. They simply dashed in themselves and couldn’t wait to lay their hand on it. :D There is a workshop for the train frantic to build the ‘long long track train’ as what my boys called it. Jayden is more keen in the track building as compared to Javier.
Walls covered with train, tracks which were specially designed by a Japanese Designer.
Tree of Love
We can penned down our hopes, thoughts and feelings on the trees. And of course, my boys did not miss this opportunity to scribble on this tree.
Fruits
Step into this colourful fruit market and create your favourite paper fruit. Doesn’t these look like real bananas. Since we did not have time for the boys to do this craft there, we bought some fruits template home to do.
Elephants full of stickers
Javier was climbing up and down the elephant, although he was given warning by the museum staff, this doesn’t stop him from his naughty act. :(
Dancing Solar Flowers
This lively installation of solar-powered mechanical flowers nod, or rock gently, in response to indoor lighting conditions in the gallery environment.
There is another activity room for the kids to build mini tracks or colouring. Which my boys choose the tracks over colouring without any doubts.
Mummy Dearest
Boys and girls can help dress up the dolls and decorate a cake for Mummy in this playroom.
Super High
Play with colours and shapes in this toddlers' playroom
Towards the end of our trip, The 2 JJ were having some dispute over the train tracks building in the activity room.. and 1 was shouting and the other was wailing…… Thus I decided to bring Javier outside to prevent the quarrelling from turning into fighting. And luckily, playing with water at the water fountain managed to entertain Javier for a while.
Beside the interactive exhibits at level 1, there is also animated films showing at level 2. But it wasn’t too interesting for my boys, so we only spend less than 20mins before we were back again at level 1.
We had a enjoyable time today with the trains, dressing up, climbing and running about…. :D
