Books that Jayden read – June

By right, during school holidays, Jayden should have plenty of time to read books. But since he is in holiday mood, he was not really in the right mood to read books himself. But I did read alot of books to them!!!! He read 6 books this month which some of the books are chosen by me.

999 Tadpoles by Ken KimuraThe story is about :  In spring, mother frog laid 999 eggs in a rice paddy. One fine, sunny day, all of them, except one, hatched into tadpoles. This last-to-hatch tadpole, however, saves the day when danger (a snakes) comes slithering their way trying to eat the tadpoles.

It is a very simple story but we likes the art work of this author. It is one of the favorite book for the boys.

Easter in Harwick by The Reverend W. AwdryFor the children of Harwick, Easter and the big egg hunt can’t come soon enough. But when Terence loses all the eggs in the countryside, it’s up to Thomas to deliver the children to Easter.

The Berenstain Bears Go Back to School by Stan & BerenstainOn the first day of the school year, Brother and Sister Bear are nervous and excited. But with tons of new stuff to learn and explore, when the bell rings to mark the end of day one, they can hardly wait for day two! This books tells about the feelings, anxieties, and anticipations of going back to school.

The Big Honey Hunt by Stan & Jan BerenstainThis story is a fun adventure with lots of expressive illustrations and easy-to-read words.

Brother Bear and Papa Bear go in search of honey. Mother tells them to go to the honey store, but Dad Bear has a better idea.  The search takes Papa and his son through all kinds of adventures, as Papa bear teaches his son how to find honey - looks like, tastes like, feels like, smells like and so on, although they met with alot of mishap along the ways but Papa Bear is clever, though, and they manage to escape unscathed... and they come home with honey, too!

The Clever little Duck by Andrews JackieThe is a simple story about a little duck who was very clever to trick the fox and thus saving own life and of this family.

Thomas and his Best Friend Another one of the Thomas Train book for Jayden. He likes reading books on Thomas the Train. So normally I would try to look out for it in the library, although I bought alot of Thomas Train books for him, it is forever not enough for him. :(
