Today Jayden turns 6! Currently he is having a craze over Thomas the Tank Engine and wanted that for his presents. And of course Javier couldn’t agree more! :D

Happy B’Day Jayden!
Dinner @ Din Tai Fung
After our Merlion exploring, we ventured over to Marina Bay Link mall Din Tai Fung for our dinner. Frankly, it seems a little wired having Dim sum for dinner, but since D is keen to have it, so we decided to go with it.
Hello Mr Merlion!
Feeling lazy and in an off mode for the last few days, I am really in no mood to update my blog… Nevertheless, I decided to do a quick post on our visit to Merlion before I forgot about it.
After our toy hunting at Takashimaya, we went over to vist Mr Merlion since it was still early for our dinner. Actually this is more like a post on the many funny, lovely shots of my 2 boys. :P
Perhaps it would be useful if there is some steps to show my boys how to smile (especially Jayden)…. :O

Punggol Reservoir & SengKang Floating Wetland
This is a great place for nature-lovers but wouldn’t be too much fun for kids who are looking forwards to playground fun. But nevertheless, they had a wild time running about in this huge open space. We spotted many turtles in the water as well as fishes and of course they were excited and couldn’t wait to bring a few home. Javier even pick up a stick and kept inching nearer and nearer to the water (trying to lure the turtle out of the water).

Jayden 6th Birthday Celebration in School
{Blink Blink} It’s already the 6th Birthday! I guess the boys are eagerly waiting for today to arrive. Though it sounds funny that Javier is excited too…. but he seems more excited that his brother. Once he came back from school, he simply decided to forgo lunch and wanted to dash to Jayden’s school. :O which of course is stopped by me as it’s still early.
With the goodies bag ready, we are also ready!!!!!

Swim Lesson 16
Jayden is already into his 4th month of swimming lesson. A new thing namely foam buoy is introduced to them today with the purpose of developing upper body strength and proper alignment in the water during swimming. The buoy is held between the legs to neutralize the kicking motion and increase upper body strength.
It certainly adds a degree of difficulty for the kids when they swam today.
Sunday Fun @ Science Centre
During our last visit to Science Centre, we promised the boys we would bring them to the water park soon. So here we are today!!! It’s always fun for them whenever we are here. Though they don’t really can understand some of the exhibits here, but they surely enjoyed ‘MESSING’ with them. :P

Singapore Philatelic Museum
It was a place (SPM) that I had wanted to bring the boys to after reading about it in some of the mummy’s blog, but due to our busy weekend schedules, we have been postponing it again and again. And finally today we managed to make it here. I’m glad I make the right decision to bring the boys here as they enjoyed themselves so much and it was also good that not many visitors were here today, which means that the boys have almost the whole place to themselves. ;O

Hope Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony & Concert 2011
We were excited, I mean which mummy and daddy wouldn’t? :D Today is the day which my boy would be performing in school. Well it’s always a touching moment when I see my boy perform on the stage…. as I watches him perform, I would be wowing in my heart and thinking my boy has grown up and he is really great!!!! Our kids is always a ‘star’ in our heart no matter how they did on stage. Though he is not the best among the group and even seems abit blur and misses some steps, but it still brings a smile to my face whenever I look at the video. Hah.. that’s my boy, abit blur blur and always in a daze (even when performing)!!! :P

J Love Water!
It is becoming clearly obvious that Javier love water!! Every Sunday, he would have a fun time splashing, dipping and playing with his friends.
Playing splashing with D…
Swimming Lesson 15
They started off with practicing their backstroke. Jayden is getting pretty good in this and kept telling me that the coach praise him and comments that his backstroke is good! ;O
JJ creating havoc @ Northpoint shopping Centre
D decided to take half day off today and I was left alone with the boys. :( (How I wish I can also take a day off) Initially I decided to hop over to SSC which is a much easier place for me when I need to lug 2 boys with me. But aha… so coincidently my mum is at Northpoint when I ring her up, so we decided to change our destination to Northpoint instead.
We have our lunch at Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe with my mum. While we were busy browsing through the menu, my boys were also very busy looking through it for dessert or drinks. :D

My Curry
When I am feeling lazy, I like to cook one dish meal for our dinner. I decided to cook curry for tonight dinner. (oops, I also cooked some simple dishes for the boys since they don’t eat curry) It’s really not too difficult to whip up a curry dish when I have AI Instant curry paste! One thing I like about cooking my own curry is that I can simply dump anything I like in it. For example, you can see that my curry consists of cabbages, potatoes, chicken drumsticks and not forgetting chicken feets.
Hahaha.. its really looks like Rojak Curry, but we love it!!!!!
Our new routine
Since last week, Javier has completely skip his afternoon nap. He wanted to do ‘work’ just like his gorgor. So I decided to revise our routine since both of them are not napping now. After they had their snack, we will sit down togather to do some works. I find that using this “sitting togather” method , it is easier for me to coach both of them at the same time.
After that, I would read with Javier, going through Peter & Jane, 四五快读,playing with logico set or just reading books while Jayden is still doing his book or homework.
So when I am cooking dinner, I will let them watch some show, in order to stop them from monkey-ing in the house while I am busy in the kitchen. So far, this arrangement is quite good for us.
Bento #47 Wonderful Day Bento
Today seems like a wonderful day to me with Javier being in a super good mood for these past few days! Ok, its not like he is super angel or really mischievous free, but his crankiness has really drop to a minimum as compared to the past few weeks. :D Unknowingly, I think my kids’ mood is affecting me directly now.
Thus I decided to do a theme on my “wonderful day’ feeling, with a heart shape kite with colourful string make of m&m, flowers in the garden.
Bento consists of peanut butter sandwich, heart shape cheese with m&m, baked harsh brown, Oreo biscuit, raisins and apples.

Just water is good enough for ME!!!!!!!
It seems like such a long time ago since I last seen him splashing so happily in the pool. He was in an exceptionally good mood today, dipping, playing and splashing water by himself.
Swimming Lesson 14
Boy was in a super good mood today and couldn’t wait to jump into the water when we arrived at the pool. Normally if time permit, he would play and warm up while waiting for his coach to arrive. The last couple of lesson, he has been learning survival backstroke, he has more or less grasp the technique. So today they are moving on to learning competitive backstroke.
Hello Birdzzzz!!!!!
We promised them! So here we are at the Jurong Bird Park today. Even though we tried to forget about this date and lazed in bed, I guess my 2 boys remembered it too well. As usual, by the time we left home, its already 10am, and it was getting scorching hot by the time we reached there.
We are Invited….
To Hope Community Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony cum Concert on 20 October 2011.
Frankly, I am really looking forward to this day, looking forward to seeing my boy perform up on the stage, looking forward to seeing him wearing his graduation robe on this special day. The day is soon to arrive to mark the end of his 1st stage of his school journey and getting ready to embark on another journey~

My Dessert House
West Coast Plaza has become one of my hangout since Jayden started his I-creative lesson. We noticed that there was a newly open Dessert Cafe a few months ago but haven’t got a chance to step into it, partly because I am not a really die hard dessert fan! :P Until me and my SIL decided to give this place a try today. Of course after trying out the food and dessert, we are both happy customers when we stepped out of My Dessert House!
I was really spoilt by the variety of desserts to choose from the menu. In the end, I chose mango Sago Pomelo, simply because I love mango and also pomelo! They were truly refreshing and the mango is sweet and portion were generous, with huge chunk of pomelo and best of all the price is very reasonable!
This is what my SIL ordered, Ice Blended with Mango.
Edelweiss Family Day
In conjunction with the Children’s Day, the school held a Family Day with Family Bonding Activities for the kids as well as the parents. I am excited and couldn’t wait for the boys to wake up, but my little ‘moody boy’ sure doesn’t share the same enthusiastic as me. Nevertheless we managed to reach there bright and early at 10plus. :D

What a Child fun Day!!!!
Of course Children’s Day should be a day for the kids to fully enjoy themselves. So what is fun to them??? Of course its none other than able to meet up with their cousin, yummy food, fun stuffs and lots of playing!!!!
We started our day with a train ride to WestMall to meet up with my mum and cousins. Luckily it was quite empty and thus my yakety boys did not attract too much attention from the other commuters.

Javier’s Term 4 Excursion - To the Zoo
This is the day that he has been looking forward to since the day he brought back his consent letter for me. :D He wouldn’t miss it for anything since he get to go to his favourite place with his buddies. But he sure doesn’t look like that when ‘that’ morning arrives. He is one grumpy boy when I drag him out of his slumberland and give him his milk. He drank his milk fast and went back to sleep again!!!! :P
Happy Children’s Day
To all kiddies out there!!!!!
My boys were happy not just because they received alot of pressies from teachers but because children’s day also equal to no school Day. :D

We went Sembawang Shopping Centre
Its been a long time since I bring them to shopping mall alone. It’s not easy, really not easy as the 2 boys are super curious, super active and super mischievous monkeys. But given that SSC is a child friendly shopping mall with playground and child friendly restaurant (my boys love the food in Xin Wang Cafe, even some of the staffs recognize and knows us by now. They will chit chat with me when I pop by there for meal. :P) this greatly put me at ease. Of course the boys were jumping for joy when I told them we are going ‘shopping with playground’.
Just US
Today we had a great time togather, just the 2 of us. Javier did not attend school today as the school is having excursion for the morning session kiddies today while his excursion to the Zoo will be tomorrow.
We did many activities togather which we both enjoyed alot. :D
As mentioned in my earlier post, Javier love painting, messy stuffs.. the messier the better…. Thus today we decided to get messy!!!! We did some hand paintings, finger paintings and not forgetting brush painting.

Tongue Tie
Tongue tied is a term used to describe someone who is unable to extend his tongue fully, or has a heart shaped appearance on the tip when sticking out the tongue. It is a condition that is caused by a short frenum that restricts tongue movement. For example, some people have difficulty licking around their lips or raising the tongue tip inside the mouth. This may affect speech to a certain extent and also cause some discomfort.
More information about Tongue Tie can be found here.
We have noticed that Javier has some problem sticking out his tongue fully and at the same time having a heart shape at the tip quite sometime ago. And was contemplating whether to bring him for some surgery to rectify this. Until I met a friend whose kid has the same problem and has undergo the surgery, and talking much better now(he can’t really talk although he is coming to 2yo before the surgery) and seeming a much happier boy who yak none stop now.
Thus I decided to bring Javier to a GP in Admiralty whom my friend recommended me for some advice. After looking at Javier’s tongue, she confirmed that he is indeed tongue tie but not so serious as as to affect his speech (as she noticed that he can talk quite well) and had no problem with eating issues. But I mentioned to her that I noticed he has problem with words which sound like d, l. For example, he can’t say play, please clearly, from what I heard it sound like “pray” or “prease”.

Bento #44 Flowery Garden
I decided to include Bombay toast for the Bento Snacks as Jayden loves it. It wasn’t too difficult to prepare, just 30 minutes is all that is needed to prepare 2 set for my boys.
Bento consists of Bombay toast (egg toast), boiled broccoli and hotdog and apples.

Swimming Lesson 13
Finally Jayden is back to his bubbly self before going for his swimming lesson today. He was so proud of himself that he told me “Mummy, I’m a good boy today, I never cry.” :D
For the past few lessons, they would spend 2nd half hr of their swimming lesson in the deep pool swimming with guidance from the instructor and also learning to tread water.
Lunch @ The Manhattan Fish Market
We had our lunch today @ The Manhattan Fish Market Northpoint Shopping Centre. Actually I had long wanted to try their food, but what hold me back is worrying whether my boys would like the food or not, as both of them, especially Javier is quite fussy when it comes to eating. As it turn out, one of them is totally not interested in the food!!!
Surprisingly, the restaurant wasn’t very crowded when we reached at 12pm. I had come across a few occasion when I pass by this restaurant at CWP, and the queue was super long.
Thus we quickly placed our order, and food was serve to us in about 15 minutes… Fast!!!! During the 15 minutes wait, it was really peaceful with the 2 monkeys window shopping-ing at kiddy palace which is just 2 shops away! :D

Marina Bay Sands Light and Water Show
Having heard rave remarks about this Wonder Full Light and Water Show, we are really full of anticipation to catch a glimpse of it. Thus after Javier woke up from his ultra late nap and grabbing a quick dinner, we drove to MBS. Since it was still early when we reach there, we took a leisure stroll, stopping here and there to take some pictures and playing around with my new camera.
So Super Scientific!!!
It was a impromptu decision to pop by at the Science Centre after Jayden’s I-creative class. Of course the boys wouldn’t miss fun out the fun of creating havoc inside the Science Centre.… ok…ok.. I am exaggerating about the creating havoc. :P But they do contribute some noises when they are in there!
While waiting for D, we spotted this look-so-real elephants! Javier was so happy to see his favourite animals and couldn’t wait to take some pictures with them.
