Malacca Road Trip 19 ~ 21 June 2013 --- Part III

We took a short stroll under the scorching sun, at least the shop houses look really unique and nice and I couldn’t stop myself from snapping pictures of  it.

Finally we reached our hotel and at the same time we were already sweating profusely, it was such a comfort to step into the hotel and feel the air blowing at us. Of course, my boys doesn’t care about the air con one bit, they were more interested to dash to the reception area.

Caught in the “Act”, they have been pocketing so many mentos from the reception table. I think they have already gotten pretty well know by the staffs there.

Something cold to beat the heat! The magnum is relatively cheaper as compared  in Singapore. Followed by a short rest before we head out to the Malacca River for our evening cruise.

But before we charged to our cruise, we stopped by Jonker 88 for our dessert. Anyone who had come to Malacca would have know that Cendol is a very popular dessert here. You can find it very easily in Malacca. Well, every time I came by Malacca, I would definitely drop by here to eat their Cendol. It is simply yummy and also satisfying. I think what makes it being more yummy is the added  gula Melaka (palm sugar or Malacca sugar) in their Cendol.

But sad to say, after this time round, I found that the standard of the cendol have drop pretty much. It is no longer as fantastic as I once thought so. The ingredients was pathetic with only a few red beans, basically I was just like munching on the shaved ice. But having feel so, business was still as good as last time, with the many customers who come into the shop and waiting for an empty table

We ordered a Cendol, Ice Kacang (for the boys) and Assam Laksa for myself.

Beside the Cendol, I love their Assam Laksa! Spicy and Sour… its so shiok. I managed to gulp down the whole bowlful.
The battle between the boys when it come to eating Ice Kacang… FYI, they love Ice Kacang!!!!!

After our stuffing ourselves full, we walked to The River Cruise ticketing area to get our ticket. Luckily, weather has started to turn cool and we had a relax and cooling walk.

This is the boat which will be ferrying us.

All abroad!

The cruise without the “U”~

Beautiful drawing on the houses. Finally after a rather long boat ride, we are back to the land. It wasn’t a very exciting one, and not much nice scenery to view along the way. And the whole ride was so quiet that we dare not talk so much too or too loudly, in case we break the peacefulness.

The boys were attracted by the street hawker with the snake as we make our way back to our hotel.

A handshake with the huge black chicken and get a free balloon. Little one refused to shake hand with the big chicken, thus he was full of envy when he saw Jayden holding the balloon, but Jayden was kind to let him hold on to it for a while.

But as you can see, little boy is always full of mischief and refused to return it to Jayden after he hold on to it.

As I mentioned in my earlier post, I have wanted to dine here the day before but since it is close on Wednesday, we changed plan and dine today instead.

From the way they were grabbing on to the Keropok , we can confidently assumed that it sure must taste really good. They love it so much so that we got 3 plates of it instead of the usual 1 plate.

Perhaps my taste bud have change a little bit for now, I don’t find the dishes we ordered yummy at all except for the fried fish which was pathetically miserably tiny (that my boys have to fight for it). D commented that the dish was pretty ok.

Perhaps if you are there, do consider these dish as they are quite popular among the diners there. Nyonya Rendang Chicken, Otak and Assam Fish (And the keropok is nice, you can get a big packet for a price of RM10)

If you want to pop over there, The address is below:

Day 03 (Our last Day in Malacca)

All of us looks like sleepyhead as we gotta wake up early for our drive back home…. but before we go back home, we would be dropping by to a fun place for the boys. (^__^)

We feel abit sad to leave such a marvelous place, we have really enjoyed our 2 nights here. We bid a final farewell to this place and get on board our car and ready to zoom to Johor!!!!!
