The Canton Tower (also know as Guangzhou TV & Sightseeing Tower), the landmark of Guangzhou City, is one of the world's most spectacular buildings. It serves not only as a popular tourist destination but also as an intensive facility for radio and television transmission. What’s more, it changes colors every 5 seconds. Sometimes it’s a solid color like red, blue, or green and then sometimes it’s rainbow-colored.

Finally we got our tickets after a short queue. Though it was already 8’clock, the amount of visitors is still many. Many have said that the night scenery is much more nicer than the daytime.
While waiting for the lift, I walked around and saw this really beautiful piano. This is the 16th Asian Games Opening Ceremony Piano. Of course, it is just for display and for curious people like me to take some nice pictures.
Waiting for the lift…
Our first stop was the 107th floor of the tower. This is 428 meters/1404 feet from the ground! The viewing area gives you a complete view of the city and Pearl River. The view is simply breathtaking!
Next, we walked up the stairs to the 111th floor which is the rooftop. On the 450-meter-high (1476-feet high) rooftop of Canton Tower, visitors can take the world’s highest Ferris wheel aka bubble train to marvel at the the panoramic views of Guangzhou. We decided to give it a miss because it looks really scary to me.
For those looking for excitement, perhaps you would like to give this sky drop a try. But it’s not for the faint hearted like me!!!! I was mentioning that the Ferris Wheel look scary, but this would be 100x much more as compared the the FW. It was crazy high~~~ But I’m not too sure whether is it close at night, because when we were there, the ride was close.
We went back down to the 107th floor observation deck for another round of viewing before we make our way back. There is a souvenir shop here if you are keen to get something back.
It was almost 10pm when we reached our hotel, thus we had a quick dinner first before we went back to our room. It was a tried day for me with all those shopping and sight seeing. How I wish I could lie on the bed and snore away. But oh dear, I still need to pack the luggage… more like thinking of ways to squeeze all my stuffs in!!!!
Phew.. I did managed to squeeze most of my stuffs in with some sitting and hitting and banging on the luggage. ^^
