Bottle Tree Park

This is our 2nd time here. And my boys enjoyed themselves so much as compared to last time, as they can do fishing today.

Just a brief intro here to those who are new to “Longkang Fishing”. There is a little pond full of guppies, swordtails, etc for kids to fish. It is called the “Longkang Fishing” Pond. It cost $10 per kid to fish in the pond and a tank and net are provided. And I guess most kids would enjoyed this activity tremendously.

Tokyo Trip – Tokyo DisneySea Part II

Well, here goes the part II of our DisneySea Trip….

In the Land of the Lost River Delta We met so many characters here, and were so happy to take pictures with them! :) D’s favourite childhood characters is none other than Chip & Dale.

Tokyo Trip – Tokyo DisneySea Part I

I really hope to write up my Tokyo Trip soon when I can still remember the detail of it. Sometimes I do love to read through my previous post and relishing the memory of it by reading again and looking at the pictures.

We woke up very early for our trip to DisneySea, nevertheless we are still not early enough as we lost our way while trying to get there and by. By the time we got to the station for the boarding of the train bound for DisneySea, it was already 9.20am.

A nice trip to the Zoo

We promised the boys we would bring them to the zoo after Jayden’s I-creative class today. And they were so looking forward and excited about it.

Despite that it was already 3pm when we reached there, the weather was very good and cooling. As usual we let the boys decide what animals they want to see and lead the way.

Homeschooling Week 35th and 36th

During February, we did a homeschooling theme on Valentine and the same time learning V. I got most of my pintables here.

Tokyo Trip – Day 5

Today is practically a shopping day for me as and I had already decided to go Shinjuku followed by Shibuya to shop. This post would be much more boring as most of it is the picture is taken inside the mall.

I started my day by having breakfast at my hotel lobby. It is a simple and very traditional food which was really to my liking. So I simply grab 2 bread and a orange juice.. and tada I am ready to start my day.

Short Getaway to Genting Highlands

We decided on a short trip to Genting Highlands since it is now the short school break and Javier has been nagging us to bring him there for quite some time. This post is mainly pictures of our trip as I shandn’t bored you with details of Genting Highlands, as I had already elaborate more on Genting in my other Genting trip post. :)

The trip did not started well, Javier started complaining of tummy pain during our drive to Genting. When we checked into our room, he started vomiting and whining of tummy pain. Luckily after taking the medicine that I brought along, his vomiting stop and he only complain of tummy pain.

And the trip did not end too well, with D and me getting the virus from Javier. We started vomiting and Diarrhea when we reached home. (and luckily it only started when we reached home!)

Well enough of the not so pleasant things that happen.. I have take lots of pictures of the trip… enjoy the photos!

Water work @ Science Centre

It’s been so long since we bring the boys for water fun. They miss the water play greatly!!! When we told them we are bringing them to the Science centre for some water play, they were so excited and couldn’t wait to go. :DThis is one of Javier’s favourite dinosaur tee which was bought 2 years ago in Bangkok. Glad to say that he is finally able to wear it now. :P

And when Jayden says since we are going for water play, he needs to wear his rain boots, and the little boy mimic after his gorgor saying “ Play water need to wear boots.” :) While waiting for D to get the car, the boys were playing around instead of standing and letting me take a decent picture.

Tokyo Trip (Day 4 – Part I)

Today, we would be making a trip to Asakusa (浅草) Temple also known as Sensoji.

When we walked out of the train station, the street was so packed with people. Later we came to know that there is a walkathon going on, and it seems to be quite a big affair with TV crew, cheerleading squad performing there.
Sensoji (also known as Asakusa Temple) is a Buddhist
temple located in Asakusa. It is one of the few places in Tokyo where atmosphere of Japan in early as 50's remains.

Let’s Dance

This is a long over due post of the boys dancing taken in the zoo  ...

Books that Javier read – January 2011

These are 2 of the favourite books for Javier. Beside the attractive illustration, the boys like to press the button located at the last page of 10 little rubber duck to listen to the quacking sound.

Books that Jayden read – January 2011

A backdated post…. these are the few books that Jayden enjoyed reading and many other books which I couldn’t remember at all.

My boys love books by Eric Carle, I find that the story is simple and the illustration is catchy. Actually it was only a few months ago that they started taking a interest in Eric Carle book. In the past, they would cast the books aside whenever I borrowed it for them.

Javier’s favourite activities @ the moment

Well, Javier’s favourite activities tend to change from month to month. At the moment, he loves to do the following activities, he would take these books or puzzle and do it himself during night time.

He loves this  Kumon cutting book, because there is alot of animals pages for him to cut.

Tokyo Trip (Day 3 – Part II)

It can get quite cold at night with a average of 3-4 degree, thus you could see that I am wrapped up like a dumpling.

Actually D was quite tired from all the walking earlier on, and wanted to postpone this night scenery viewing to another day. But finally I managed to convince me to go.. :P

The Government Building is located near Shinjuku station. But the walk from the station to the building took us almost half hr. Tiring!!!!

THE DUO

This post is solely the pictures of our 2 little stars Javier and Bing Heng. It is really entertaining to see the various cute, fun, sweet poses and expression of them. Enjoy!!!

Tokyo Trip (Day 3 – Part I)

Thinking back that the weather yesterday wasn’t too cold, I decided wear this light-weighted coat instead of the thicker jacket. But boy… was I wrong!!! Once I stepped out of the hotel, the cold wind blowing at me make me regret my choice. But I was too lazy to go back to change, thus I decided to brave the coldness and hope that it won’t be so cold later. At least I got my scarf and gloves to keep some coldness at bay.

Javier’s Term 1 school Work

Last Saturday when I met up with his teachers, I also brought back the school work for term 1. The below are some of the works or crafts that he did in school.

The Art Pieces:

Tokyo Trip (Day 2 – Part II)

Ok, after some rest, I went back to Harajuku again to continue my shopping. Well one thing about going around in Tokyo is by the train,  and it is rather complicating to have so metro subway lines or JR lines. Sometime in order to get to one place from my hotel, I need to change a few lines to reach my destination. But the plus point is that most of the place is reachable by train, so throughout my 1 week stay in Tokyo, my sole transportation is the train.

Dinner at 竹林

zu01 I have been wanting to do a post on this restaurant quite sometimes back. This is one of the restaurant which I have been patronizing for many years. It serves nice food and the price is very reasonable.

My boys love the fish tank which is full of fishes. They even told me that the fishes love them!! Becos once they touch the tank, all the fishes will come charging at them.

Business isn’t so good now as there is another restaurant beside them now which serves almost the same type of food.

Parents - Teacher Meeting

A term has passed by quickly, and Javier has been attending this kindy for more than 2 months. At time he would still tell me that he doesn’t want to go to school, but he still willingly board the school bus every morning. The bus aunty told me he is a well-behaved boy inside the bus. (but sometimes he would tell the aunty that he wants to look for his mummy) Hearing these comments really take a burden off me, as I was very worried that he wouldn’t want to take school bus.

Ok back to our main topic. I met with Javier’s Teachers Mrs Fong and 郭老师 today to better understand on Javier’s progress in school and the syllabus taught in school.
