Parent-Teachers Conference

I met up with Jayden class teachers today. Overall there wasn’t much issue with his work or behavior in class. Both teachers commented that he is quiet boy who don’t talk much in class except some soft chattering with the girl sitting beside him (and that wasn’t really very often too as the girl is equally quiet as Jayden Open-mouthed smile). Well, he do often wondered into space during lesson time, which isn’t a news to me already. But at least he can do his work independently and doesn’t required much help from teachers, so I presumed that he is still absorbing what the teachers are teaching though he tend to daydream lah. Ahaha…

His main weakness  is conversation part (at least that is what I felt after talking to the teachers and looking at the appraisal form from the teachers). He is too soft spoken, not too confidence and tend to mumble when he needs to talk in front of the class or teacher.  But teachers were hopeful that with the right coaching and guiding, he should be able to improve in his speech as he goes along. The Chinese teachers mentioned that at least he is at ease with her now as compared to the initial school term (which is a good sign). He dare to complain to his teachers now when his classmate disturb him. ;P… in the past he would 默默得忍受 (keep to himself)

I hope that my little blur boy would be able to cope with his school work and the many tests that is to come, though I really do worry about him! Crying face

Javier’s Art Piece

This is the drawing of a clown juggling balls that was 100% Javier’s effort. I am so proud of him that he can sat through the 2hrs lesson to complete the drawing and colouring by himself.

老伴豆花

Not sure whether you have heard of this… but it seems to be the craze at the moment. Long Long queue of people queuing to buy this. D first tasted it when his colleague bought for him one fine morning , and the next instant, he was thinking… “wow… this taste superb, must buy some for wifey and kiddy to try too!’

Thus he dashed to the newly opened shop at One Raffles Places after work that day, never to expect such super long queue… and thus decided to give it a miss and get it the next day instead. But alas, the queue was even longer than yesterday, but in order not to disappoint us and true to his word, he braved the super packed train and the ultra heavy rain and lao bao back for us today. Open-mouthed smile

Hearing so much rave remarks about it, I couldn’t wait to dig in, and true enough it tasted so yummy!!!! It is so smooth and soft, it seems to melt in my mouth. Normally, I am not a fan of Soya Beancurd, but for this, I gobbled up one box effortlessly.

Kungfu Paradise Cafe

After our Meet the Parents session at Javier’s Kindy, we went to Kungfu Paradise for our lunch before we sent Jayden for his ICL class.

Meet-the-Parents Session

Met up with Javier’s teachers today. Overall, he is doing well in class, doesn’t give teachers much problem, just the occasionally whining for mummy and wanting to go home to look for mummy.

It was abit of chaos for his class as there were teachers shuffling here and there. Just for term 1, he got 2 English teachers and 2 Chinese teachers. But after his main teachers Mrs Aik explain the situation to me, I do understand that I can’t really blame the school for this. But I hope that the current teachers will remain the same throughout the end of his Nursery class.

As Javier is a rather sensitive child, this teachers shuffling gave him a sense of insecurity, and he was crying for most of the days and doesn’t want to go school (which really give me a painful headache every morning).

English teacher Mrs Aik commented that he can grasp what the teachers is teaching in class and do his work independently. But tracing line wasn’t very good, thus I decided to buy some books for him to practice tracing at home. And surprisingly with my eye power on him, he can trace super well and neat!!!! Angry smile   Beside that there was nothing much said as Mrs Aik has only taught him for 2 weeks, thus it was too short a time to really give much comments.
