(Mummy recalling 28 November 2011)
After venturing to the beach and admiring the spectacular view of Gold Coast at the SkyPoint Observatory, we decided to head to the SeaWorld today. But miraculously, we are ready real fast today, and since we are a tad too early for SeaWorld, we decided to bring the boys to the nearby playground for some fun first.
Looking at the grouchy expression, you can guess it was a super hot day today again!
This was pretty fun, the kids could pedal and move it along the track. Though the weather was a killer, Javier did not mind one bit and decided to go round it a few times.
Well, to be precise, the 3 man doesn’t mind the hot sun one bit.
I was busy hiding under the shade with my mil.
Time to hit SeaWorld. The boys were excited to see the sea creatures and of course meeting their favourite characters!
Our first show of the day is the Seal Shows “ Fish Detectives”. It was a highly entertaining show which kept us laughing all the way.
We then proceed to Ray Reef,..Well, it is time to try our hands on finding the stingrays. it was a new experience for us. I feels rather scary initially when the huge sting ray come so near to my hand. As their mouths are on the bottom of their bodies, we won't see them eating, but we can definitely feel the gentle moving of their mouths as they munch.
The Shark Bay is the World’s largest man-made lagoon for Shark. In here, we saw sharks, stingrays and a range of tropical fishes.
We then proceed to have our lunch and at the same time feasting our eyes on the water-boat stunt show.
Of course we got to visit the Penguin Encounter~ My boys love Penguins!!! Indeed we spent a fair amount of time here marveling at the penguins.
Kids’ mood is as unpredictable as the weather… one moment, they can be happily jumping about, but the next, they can be wailing and throwing tantrum.
He managed to quiet down and jump for joy when we mentioned fish feeding to him. That’s my boy, mood change is “thunder fast”.
We happened to bump into Zoe and Groover Abby after feeding the fish. But Javier refused to take picture with them, claiming that it is not Elmo or Cookie Monster! So ended up , only me and Jayden took a picture with them.
And as usual, Javier’s favourite carousel ride is a must activity also.
Since Jayden wasn’t interested in this kiddy ride, we went to buy a ‘fishy’ ice cream instead.
After our last ride of the day, we went to catch the “Happy Feet” 3D movie show.
The boys finally get to take the long awaited cable car. Though, the queue was ahem… quite long, but we decided to wait and go ahead with the ride so as not to disappoint the boys.
Looking down from the cable car, we could see the dolphin Nursery.
We head back to our villa after a long day at SeaWorld. It was great to be back and I can give my tired body a rest. But my boys feel otherwise, they were still energetic and wanted us to bring them to the beach for some sand playing…
We spotted these mini crabs and the boys were busy chasing them. But they sure move very fast and hide, thus they have no lucky trying to catch one.
And they decided to play leg burying!!! The father and Gorgor busying covering Javier’s leg with sand.
The sky was a bright pink as the sun set giving it a really beautiful look. We decided to head back for our dinner and an early rest. Recharge for another long day tomorrow as we will be heading to LilyDale Farmstay the next day!!!!!!
WHAT they have Sesame street character in SEAWORLD!! How come USA ones doesnt have!!! I love the Sealions show too ~
ReplyDeleteThey didn't have Killer whales show? The seaworld here in USA uses the Killer Whale Shamu as their mascot. Of all the themeparks here, I think I like Seaworld BEST!! keke ~ when u bringing your kids to USA Disney WORLD!??? They go CRAZY!!
keke... you certainly have a big reaction!!! :D But my boys were quite disappointed that they never met their favourite one aka Elmo!
ReplyDeletewow.. killer whales show, sounds really interesting!!!!
Ya we visit quite some themeparks here but me and hubs discussed before where are the sesame streets character. We even manage to catch Spongebob in Universal, but I never recall seeing any Sesame street character. So they are in AUSTRALIA hahaha!
ReplyDeleteThe killer whale show is really good. I don't know whether the news is big in Singapore, I think 5 years ago, one of the trainer were attacked and after that the trainer were not allow in the pool to perform with the whale. What a pity ...
