Fun time comes to an end so quickly. Today is the last day of our trip... anyway there will be more makan and fun places for us today !!!! But firstly, we need some energy booster :)
We have our breakfast at this nice, quiet and cozy Bamboo hut Cafe, which is located at Our hotel ground floor. But once my 2 monkeys are here, of course this cafe won't be quiet anymore!!!! :)
I ordered this breakfast set, and it seems that Javier was already waiting patiently for my food to arrive!!! Even before I got a chance to snap a picture of my breakfast, Javier little hand was already getting ready to grab my toast!!!!!
Happily giving a big bite at the toast.... :)
After our breakfast, time for some walking again!! Our first stop is to the Christ Church which is just a 5mins walk from our hotel. Yipppeee..... We took alot of pictures at the nice buildings there.
My boys refuse to take picture here, due to the ultra hot weather. There prefer to stand in the shade with daddy. After some negotiating, my little Javier finally agreed to pose for me to take some pictures. :)
Doing his mambo dance.. haha....
Look at that expression!!!! He seems to be telling me "Mummy Hurry up hor.. it's very hot leh!"....
The nicely decorated trishaw.
The stretch of shops in front of christ church selling Souvenirs to tourists.
During the short walk around this tourist spot, my 2 boys were complaining non stop throughout the walk, Jayden fighting with Javier to sit in the stroller. So in the end, we decided to put the stroller back in the car. So daddy will carry Javier, and I will walk with Jayden.. So all is well now.. no more quarrelling...
We decided to walk over to JONKER Street to shop at those shops again. While walking there, we pass by the Malacca River, there were many people canoeing . So my boys just stood there to see the boat or the canoe pass by.
It was not easy to get them to pose for me to take this picture. I got to bribe them in order for them to stand in front of the huge picture for me to take just 1 shot.
Finally we reached JONKER Street, over here it seems so much cooler and of course my boys mood become much better!!!!
One of the reason for our revisit here is because Jayden wanted to get some game card at one of the shop.
This shop sells alot of things, like utensils, clothes, hats, toys ...... While Jayden was busy with his card selection, I was busy with trying different cute caps for Javier.
We are not supposed to take any picture inside this shop, but I secretly and quickly snapped one picture of Javier wearing this cute cap. :)
When Jayden finally managed to select the cards he wants, and I was just preparing to make payement. Javier also wants to buy 1 set of cards. :( So in the end we bought 2 sets of cards, 1 set each for them. We proceed to the next shop, and that is the 2nd reason why we are here at JONKER Street again.
This is the shop!!!! Its sells Laksa, Chendol, Nasi Lemak.... Its a must try when you came to JONKER Street. The chendol is highly recommended, even daddy and Javier is in love with it!!!! If you have never heard of this shop, you wouldn't have realise it even when you pass by it. Cos it is just a small shop with a long queue outside waiting to buy food, nothing outstanding that make you stop and take a 2nd look.
Don't be deceived by the mondern outlook of the shop, once you step into the shop it seems to bring you back to the 70's.....
And the young Ah pek sitting with his legs on the wooden bench.
In total we ordered 2 chendols, 1 seacoconut chendol, 1 Nonya Assam Laksa and 1 Fishball Soup. Yummy....
Mouth-watering Nonya Assam Laksa... Sour... Spicy.. Slurp!!!!
Javier simply cannot resist any food... any food he would want to try! His motto is REGARDLESS OF ANY FOOD JUST TRY FIRST!!! :)
Just to sidetrack abit... This chicken rice stall is also very popular in Malacca. The queue to have a meal there is forever so long. I was actually planning to try this chicken rice stall yesterday, but all chicken is sold out!!! What a slight disappointment..
Our last stop to end our Malacca Trip is going over to Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall to shop. Actually we only managed to shop part of the mall, as it was really big and it was not easy to shop having 2 kids with us.
They seems to enjoy looking at fishes in the water fountain, splashing water than shopping. But we still managed to buy 2 Thomas Train Tee from Bossini for the boys. :)
We went for lunch at MacDonald since the boys wanted to eat Nugguts and ice cream.
Playground---Of course my boys would not pass up the chance to play there.
Seeing Daddy came back with the food, the boys quickly dashed back for their lunch.
After our lunch, it is finally time to bid farewell to Malacca... We will be making our way back to Singapore!!!! Home Sweet Home for us.
