Since the the previous lesson, Jayden has started to learn backstroke. He can swim a short distance using backstroke now, though he still need to practice more in his leg kicking and strengthen his ability to float in the water for a longer time.
The kids lying down to practice their backstroke’s leg kicking.
During the last 15 mins of the lesson, the coach brought them to the deep pool shallow end for familiarization. After explaining the safety rules to observe in the deep pool, he wanted to kids to take turns swimming to him using breaststroke. It seems to be a new challenge for the kids as they wouldn’t be able to stop and stand inside the pool as and when they like now as most of the kids are not tall enough to lift their head out of the water in this 1.2m pool. So the only way is to keep swimming towards the coach.
Jayden’s turn to swim, he is quite nervous in the beginning, but overall he did quite well.
