Our Lunar New Year Eve Celebration ~ Eat. Eat. Eat…..

Year of the snake is coming to an end soon and in a few more hours we would be welcoming the horsey year. The year of the snake is a memorable one for me as we welcome a mini snake into our family which means there are 2 snake in our family now, a mama snake and a mini snake! ^^

The way we spend our Lunar New Year Eve is eat. eat. eat and more eating!!!! Joelle was in an exceptionally good mood when she woke up in the morning, thus I managed to snap a lot of pictures of her wearing the huge headband (perhaps a bit too huge).

She is able to lift her head quite well now, but she doesn’t really enjoy doing it. She tends to fuss and wants me to carry after her “workout”.
That’s me and my little girl. I guess my dark eye circle is so bad, even the concealer wasn’t able to cover it.
Our first stop for today is to my brother’s place for a steamboat lunch with my mummy and brother’s family. My boys love going there as they can play with my nieces. When we reached there, the sumptuous steamboat was already ready for us!
The kids were entertaining Joelle while we adults were busy wolfing  down the new year goodies while chit chatting.
And not forgetting to take a shot of the kids. Nice one, I love this shot!… Except that Jayden was looking elsewhere!
And my girl with my brother. Being the youngest in the family, all of us really dote on her, even my nephew who is only 2 years plus. ^^

Many says that Joelle has round fishball-like eyes. When she smile at me and looking at me with those eyes, it simply melt my heart. I can’t stop saying that I really love this girl so so so much!!!!!

What’s new year without these oranges~

I guess I am really obsessed with my girl, can’t stop sharing all the pictures of her in my blog, Dayre or even Instragram.
My cute nieces made these wrist band for Joelle although she is still too young to wear it now.
Recently, she has started to love exploring her fingers and love stuffing them inside her mouth. Sometimes she tend to push her fingers too deep inside her mouth and cause herself to vomit. *my silly little girl*. ^^

After the first round of steamboat lunch, we proceeded to my Uncle’s house for a buffet brunch. It was nice meeting up with the relatives which I seldom met up over the past one year.
And the last stop for today is non other than to my PIL place for a steamboat dinner.
My nephew Bermes.
After the dinner, we have a lou hei which the kids enjoyed so much. That’s is the only time where they are allowed to play with the food.
HUAT AH!!!!
After all the digging, throwing of the food!!!! ^^

It was almost close to 10pm when we reached home and little girl was fussing away due to not able to rest well from the hopping from places to places. I guess its time to have a good rest to charge ourselves up for more visiting for tomorrow. Open-mouthed smile

My little chubby puff is already 3 months old!

Time flies, Joelle is already 3 months old. Days is filled with busy-ness looking after my 3 kids. Sometimes household chores do need to take a back seat when little girl is extreme fussy and required me carry a lot or if the kids need me to assist them in their homework. I guess a untidy house is better than a house with 3 screaming kids. Haha…

Sometime, I really cannot believe how I managed by through these years, I am not a super mummy with extra good temper, in fact my temper is real bad. I can be really fierce when the boys trigger my limit.  I guess they do fear me when I turn into a ‘roaring tiger’. ^^ Friends tend to be deceived by my ‘gentle look’ which is so so deceiving. Many of my mummies friends comment that I am really good having to look after 3 kids by myself without any helper, and still need to cook and do housework chores. But sometimes, I do have my frustration when 2 kids wants my attention at the same time… how I wished I can split into 2.

At times when I am really tired, I would just skip the housework altogether, I have a understanding hubby who did not mind and doesn’t require me to keep the house spanking clean all the time, he is ok when he see the clothes flying around or the floor being a bit “not so clean”. Sometimes if I am not able to cook dinner, he is ok to ‘da pao’ dinner or dine out. Of course, it is clearly he is tired after coming back from work, but he did not compliant one bit. When I am feeling down and emotional, he will let me be and try to drag the kids away from me to let me cool down. When I need to tend to Joelle, he will help me to coach the 2 boys or play with them, and I can see that Javier has become so much closer to him recently. I guess having the support of such a good hubby, it truly makes all these easier.

Frankly, I do feel that when one is put into any situation, either way you would be able to cope with it when you believe you can do it. And I am glad that Joelle is a fairly easy to look after girl…only that she wants me to carry her alot, even when she naps. She is a happy girl who like to talk and smile a lot. Anyone who talk to her, she is so willingly to give them her sweetest smile and coo-ing back. ^^  It just filled my days with so much joy playing with her every day.

I wasn’t able to update so frequently now, all these updating was done in the wee hours when I could not get back to sleep after tending to little girl. Thus I would like to photo flood with my little girl pictures in this post. ^^

Hope you would have a great day after seeing the cheeky and happy pictures of my little girl.

Javier’s 6th Birthday Celebration in School

January is almost over, I have being pretty busy over the past few months which explains on the lack of update. Few days ago, it was Javier’s Birthday, we had a mini celebration with his kindergarten friends. Prior to his birthday, he had been reminding me to do a birthday celebration for him in school months ago and also to prepare goodies bag for his friends. ^^

This birthday would be a very special one to him, as this is the last time he would be celebrating with his bunch of friends from his kindy. In less than a year, Javier would be embarking to a new journey in his education life. I can see that he really love going to school and loves his friends too. He is a boy who display love, hate openly… things he don’t like, he will fight and resist. For example he doesn’t like attending the English enrichment class on Saturday, thus it is really a chore to bring him there weekly. It got so bad recently, that I was contemplating to withdrawn him after next term.

Oh.. well, let’s get back to the birthday celebration. Javier chose a Turbo cake, actually he is in love with Turbo cake after watching this show last year, and setting his mind to order this cake for his birthday. ^^

The goodies bag that I prepared for the kids.

Smiling Sweetly with his Turbo cake. Little girl looking longingly at the activities going around her. She was pretty excited to see so many kids!!!

Our family picture. It was a pity that Jayden wasn’t able to join us as he need to stay back in school for his robotics classes.

Posing with this classmates, mostly he had known since pre-nursery.

Finally it was time to sing the birthday song and cake cutting. The kids were really excited and so do we.

I managed to snap some pictures with Javier while the kids were busy with the cake. And I realized that Joelle was pretty interested in the cake. She was staring intently at the cake the whole while we were taking pictures. Haha..

Once again, Happy Birthday my little boy. May you be happy, joyous and healthy always! ^^

My Little Sweetie - JOELLE

I guess words cannot describe the feelings we have for this little girl. Her arrival has definitely bring a big change in our lives forever and we love it!, especially the 2 boys who just seems unable to get enough of her. I guess the only complaint I have at the moment is the sleep deprivation, sometimes I was so tired in the middle of the night, I doze off  while breastfeeding her.

Baby Joelle is finally here!!!!!

I’m back!!!!! Just wanna share my happy moments here! ^^ I have delivered!!!!!

Birth story:
I need to admit into Mount Alvernia Hospital at 5am for my operation which is scheduled at 7am. I left the house in the wee hours at 4am, anxiously looking forward to meeting my little girl. My Little boy was super reluctant and refused to let me go to the hospital and had wanted to tag along with us. (Imagine he forced himself to wake up at 3am so that he can go with us!!!!) I had to explain and console him for close to half an hour before he finally let me leave, actually I feel kinda sad to leave him at home when he had so much wanted to see his little sister at the first moment.

This is me in my hospital gown getting ready for my Cesarean operation, I was feeling nervous and excited at the same time.

I was wheeled into the Operating Theatre at around 6.45am and the operation started at 7am and little girl was out at 7.23am. I was not able to witness the first instant she was out as I was still knocked out from the GA. I remember I only regained conscious at 9plus am. I was eager to see little girl but she is still in in the Nursery warming up to regulate her temperature.

Baby was pushed to my ward at around 11am, I really fell in love with this little cutie the instant I laid eyes on her. She is so sweet!!!!

Update on my Pregnancy at 38 weeks

^^.. I am still here. But I am eagerly counting down to the day that I would be meeting my little one which is 3 more days on the 21st October. Frankly, I really doesn’t feel that good nowadays. I feel like a big fat hippo with my huge tummy and swollen feet and ankles. But I am glad that little one is progressing well, and weighing about 3.2kg during my 37 weeks checkup. Of course it seems that I am doing well too for able to gain a whopping 16kg up to date. (laughing)

Sleep hasn’t been good lately too, I only managed to fall asleep around 1am every night and will wake up automatically at 5am every morning (ma-chiam like alarm clock)!!!!! So you can well imagine me looking like a big hippo cum panda!!!! With the extra weight, dark eyes circle and waddling like a penguin when I walk, I really dread going out meeting others now.

Though I am excited that the Big day is finally here soon but at the same time I am feeling nervous. ( Imagine being cut open the 3rd time. Oops, its really scary just thinking about it.) Thus I have opted for C-sect with GA instead of Epidural like my previous 2 delivery. (Frankly, it doesn’t feel too good being in a fully alert mode when I can feel that the doctor is operating on me, the cutting (of course I don’t feel the pain), pulling, tugging. What’s even worse was that I was vomiting like crazy once the doctor start the cutting and the vomiting doesn’t stop even when I was push back to my ward)

I guess I am really having negative thoughts as the date drew nearer, So I am really glad that I have my 2 monk-ies to distract me daily, I guess it do take my mind off these worrying thoughts when I am busy shouting at them or when they were busy driving me up the wall!!!!! ^_^

I guess that’s all for now! Will update after my delivery~
