Countless of times whenever we passed by here, the boys were curious about this place after we told them about it and who lives here. Today they finally got the chance to explore and witness for themselves. Of course they were excited and couldn’t wait to set off for this trip.
Today the Istana is open to the public in celebration of the National Day. And beside being able to roam the Istana, the annual Istana Art Event will also be held today. Activities include a Arts and Heritage Village featuring booths by the various museums and the National Library Board, where visitors can participate in many hands-on activities.
When we reached there, thanks goodness there were no long queue!!!!! So we quickly make our way in under the scorching hot sun. And it was a really hot hot day today, practically I am melting while we stroll.
3 man chit chatting while we walk.
Of course they wouldn’t pass up any chance to run, jump when they see one!!!! ^O^
And of course this is ME!!!
Some playground activities for young kids
But look who is playing the slide!!!!! The overage kid.. Ahahaha..
Time for a cooling break… they sure look kinda messy. ahahah…
Public can also tour selected function rooms in the Istana building to view a display of gifts presented to the President and the Prime Minister by foreign dignitaries, for an additional fee of $2.
Finally we decided to take a short rest before we make our way out and a good time for snapping pictures too!!!
Here they decided to slide down instead of walking…. @_@
Lots of activities for the kids, but what interest them is this crown and sword making activities. I think they were already thinking of pretending to be the knight fighting the villain.
And I was right!!!!!
Having blast of a time fighting each other.
We have come to the end of our trip and clearly the boys enjoyed themselves a lot. One were already telling me that he wants to come back next Sunday, and the other was asking me when can we go again????
You look great! Doesn't look like mom of 2 boys keke ~
