The initial plan was to bring them to the Port of Lost Wonders for some water play. But when we reached there, the last admission time had already pass. Thus we just bring them to this small water play area, not that they mind one bit. Though they were a tad disappointed that they can’t play in the Port of Lost Wonders, but as long as there is water, they were just fine with it. To heal their little disappointment, I brought them to 7-eleven to buy the water gun, but Jayden prefer the spade instead. So holding the little gift for them, they jumped and ran to the water, eagerly wanting to try out their new toy.

MIL Birthday Dinner @ Long Beach Dempsey
We make reservation for our dinner at Dempsey Long Beach as this place was usually very crowded, especially on a weekend night We ordered quite a number of dishes and their and their specialty is none other than the crabs (though I am not a big fan of the crab, but I think the gravy was quite nice). So below are the yummlicious dishes that we stuffed into our tummy.
Meet the parents session
Today we met up with Javier’s teachers. I am pleased and relieved to hear very good comments on his learning progress and behavior in school. Both teacher mentioned that he has no problem in his work and he learnt things fast. He can grasp what the teacher is saying very fast, thus teachers like to ask him to demonstrate to the class on some occasion, like dong some actions and dancing. ^_^.
His Chinese teacher 郭老师 feedback that his word recognition is very good, (thanks to 四五快读). But this in turn makes the lesson seems boring to him, thus his attention span tends to wonder elsewhere during some lesson time.
But other than that, he is a well-rounded boy, outspoken, participate actively in sports, dance and singing. Frankly I feel so pleased and relieved that he is coping so well in this school now. I would say he has started to enjoy going to school now, I think the main reason is that he likes his 2 teachers. Did I mentioned that Javier’s current English teacher is a 3rd one for this year!!! He doesn’t really enjoy or like the previous 2 teachers, thus he really really dislike going to school during term 1 and 2. However, I noticed that his whining started to get lesser and lesser as term 3 progress, until presently, he doesn’t says he don’t want or don’t like to go school already. Phew… that’s a really a load off my mind.
It is only when I met up with his English Teacher Mrs Tismo that I started to understand why he love this teacher. She is a really gentle, caring and patient teacher who really dote the kids. Though she has only taught Javier for about a term, she has already won the trust of Javier. I believe that it’s only when the kids really like the teacher and enjoys going to school, that is when the kids will really learn well and progress. I sees a huge improvement in his learning progress as compared to the previous terms.
One thing I like to mentioned is that this teacher has a effective and simple way to teach spelling, that is, she teach the kids how to spell numbers thru singing. Javier loves to sing his number spelling song every day..which goes like this O-N-E 1, T-W-O 2….. (of course there is a rhythm to it) ^_^ In this way he can spell his number effortlessly now.

Garden by the Bay (Preview)
Today was a rather uneventful day which I rather not talk about here. We make a trip to Garden by the Bay today hopping to grasp a magnificent view of the newly open garden. We do not have much time with us, thus we only make a short tour around the garden and did not visit the 2 Dome.

NDP 2012
After our sumptuous lunch, we set off for Marina Bay Sands Boardwalk for our next activity for today. As you can guess it’s none other than the National Day Parade 2012 Fireworks!!!! We reached there bright and early, but a huge crowds have already gathered eagerly waiting for the NDP to start.
As usual, wherever there is ample of space togather with some spare time, its’ a good excuse for my boys to roam and monkey around.
And of course a good excuse for me to snap lots of pictures too!
Up to his mischief. I was telling Javier to stand behind Gorgor and and just put his hands on his shoulder, but instead he started to squeeze him very hard and eventually tried to ride on him.
The falling parachute caught their full attention and thus they decided to stop their monkey-ing for a while.
The mischief starts again…..
Ouch, he is practically on top of Jayden now!
Javier was bugging us to let him take picture of us, so here it is….
and one more here.
The boys weren’t able to see the firing of cannons, so D carried both of them which is kinda heavy.. (Ouch!!!)
Later HaiYun and family joined us. My boys were very happy indeed.
The beautiful fireworks
The foursome were engrossed in the fireworks.
We had our dinner at Chinatown Food Centre. Just look at the yummlicious food below. …
I was almost drooling when I saw these pictures. ^_^ and of course we managed to wipe out all the food.
We had a tiring but fun day. The boys were totally knocked out on the way home.
Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck Restaurant
It was our first time dining here. As the name imply this restaurant is famous for its Peking duck – I guess the name could not be more obvious. I was looking forward to our lunch here after reading and hearing good reviews about this restaurant. We were lucky enough to reserve a table for today, but it was quite late at 1.30pm. and even with the booking, we were limited by the 1.5 hour meal time.
Dim sum was served first to feel our rumbling tummy.
The fish dish
Peking Duck ($68 for whole duck)
Like any good Peking duck restaurant, the chef will carve up the duck right at the table. First he removed just the skin off the breast, which he did with skill. The duck skin were thin and crispy.(did not have time to take a picture of the crispy duck skin, as it was snapped up in a flash. Ahaha…)
Next came a couple of platters of duck slices featuring both skin and duck meat as the above picture. Our verdict is that the duck meat is tender and juicy. It was served with the popiah wrap that you can fold the meat in, or for a sweet treat, dip the meat in a saucer of sugar - delicious. (I would well prefer eating without any sweetness) ^_^
Even Javier was in love with it, I think he salvage almost 5 pieces of the duck skin.
A very traditional Chinese vegetable dish.
Also one of the recommended dish was this tofu, spinach and mushroom dish. but there are two different kinds of tofu in this dish. The bottom layer is actually a tofu with blended spinach.
Our dessert
My comment on this restaurant are the food is really tasty, thumbs up for their service too, the staffs are very attentive and courteous! Do remember to pre-order the Peking duck when you make reservations. ^_^

Pre National Day Celebration
The boys will be celebrating National Day in school today. Thus we need to dress them in red and white, but one boy decided that he prefer to wear his PE attire instead of wearing RED.
Both of them were kinda excited today and so little boy woke up at 4plus in the morning and told me us to get him ready for school!!!!!! Arggggg…. (he nearly drove us crazy!!!!) Actually it was Jayden who is supposed to wake up at 6.10pm to catch his school bus arriving at 6.35am and not him who is going to school early. Finally after a lot playing and mumbling to himself and disturbing me also, he finally went back to LaLa land at 8am.
Some pictures of my cheeky boys in action.
Pretending to be asleep.
I love this picture a lot… love their happy smile! ^_^
Before I end this post. I would like to wish all of us a Happy National Day.
