A Day in Universal Studios Singapore

What I dreaded happen today! It RAINS!!!!!!!! As this trip was planned sometimes back and tickets had already been purchased, there is no way we can have any alternative plan. So we still went to Universal Studio early in the morning. But when we reached there, the rain had stopped and the weather was really cooling… Phew!

We did not spend much time in Hollywood street as it consist mostly of restaurants and souvenir shops. So off we went for our 1st destination, which is Madagascar. At Madagascar..

We begin our 1st ride of the day, but of course we have to take some pictures first lah. :) I like this picture alot. But Javier did not want to join in as he keep saying he is afraid of those animals. (That is my mummy in the black outfit), I am so glad that she is able to join us for this trip. :) This was taken outside the “A Crate Adventure”. But too bad, the attraction was not open yesterday. So finally, it is the boys time to enjoy some rides. Off we hopped to “King Julien’s Beach Party Go Around”. Jayden chose the Giraffe while Javier prefer the tiny mini characters. He refused to sit in the 3 main characters which is the Zebra, Lion and Giraffe. After our rides, time to meet Shrek. That is when the drizzle starts…:(

At Far Far Away….

We quickly choose one attraction which have shelter as the rain seems to be getter heavier. So we quickly queued for Shrek 4D Adventure. It was a long queue, but we did not mind, cos we are really looking forward to the 4D effect show. :)

But Javier did something really embarrassing while queuing here. I don’t know what trigger him to do this….notice the man carrying a black backpack walking slightly behind Javier. Actually he was queuing in front of us. And after 1/2hr of queuing, and maybe due to boredom Javier pinched the man’s buttock. We were so shock and embarrassed !!!!:P Luckily the man did not mind and still play with Javier. :( Next, he started attacking Daddy!!!

We truly enjoyed the shrek show. It was amazing! But its seems to be abit too much for my boys, as we got to experience washing spraying at us and “spiders” creeping up our legs and the movable seats that keep shaking. Halfway through the show, Jayden was hugging me tightly.

After our show, we went for a ride at the “Magic Potion Spin”. We took some pictures inside the souvenir shop.

We have a late lunch at “Friar’s”. The fries and chicken finger taste good but the sandwich wraps taste abit yucky. :( After our lunch, we make our way to Lost World. The rain was getting quite heavy, we need to get some raincoat. Due to rain, I din take much photo here.

At Lost World…There is only 1 ride suitable for the boys which is “Dino Soarin”. After this ride, we quickly make our way to the next world “Ancient Egypt”.

At Ancient Egypt, we went for a ride in the Jeep through an abandoned Egyptian Excavation site in “Treasure Hunters” attraction. Although the queue was quite long, we did not wait too long for our turn. And the ride was over so fast, and the driver for today is non other than Jayden.Daddy and Javier took another jeep behind us. After our ride, we roam about at the ancient Egypt world and took some pictures there. The historical statue of the ancient Egypt is simply an eye opener for me. While some may think that these statue looks abit errie, but I really like it alot… so on and on I snap snap snap….. All these statue is really huge, while we stand beside them, we look so small. At Sci-Fi City… Again.. most of the rides are not suitable for young kids. So in this city, we just see see look. Javier is sitting on a test seat for the “Battlestar Galactica Human” ride. He was so excited to see this seat that he dashed over there, and the friendly staff help him to buckle up. After Javier sat in the seat, many people follow suit and try sitting on it. (Just for info: this ride is not open yet)

We took a short break for the boys to have some cake snack… again you can see the ravenous Javier taking a big bite of the cake!!! he look so comical and doesn’t care one bit about image.Jayden playing the lunch box which he got it for the kids meal when we dine at Friar’s .This is the only ride which we took in the sci-fi city. Accelerator is  almost like a tea-cup ride, just that it whirl and twirl much much more faster than tea-cup ride. I was feeling abit dizzy when the rides end.. :) I bet my boys feels the same as me. Javier was clinging so tightly to me halfway through the ride. The last stop is New York… My boys were fascinated by the cold air blowing out. They kept running about trying to step on the air and enjoying themselves so much.

One of the attraction worth mentioning in the New York Street is the “Lights, Camera, Action! Hosted by Steven Spielberg”. We were really blown away by the incredible special effects whereby an empty sound stage becomes the setting for a major hurricane right in front of our eyes

After the New York Street, we went back to Madagascar again. That is because, my kids really like the “King Julien’s Beach Party-Go-Round”. When we went back, there was no queue for this ride, so my boys keep going for the rides again and again. :)

We decided to have our dinner before we head back home. So we decided on the “Loui’s NY Pizza Parlor”. The pizza was really huge, which is a whopping  size of 28”. And beside this gigantic pizza, we still order some side dish.. so of course we did not manage to finish our food. So ended up we bring them some of the pizza home as supper. Our last stop for today, is to the souvenir shop to get some stuffs, and I managed to get 2 tees for the boys. uss39 And this marks the end of our day in Universal Studios. But hold on….. who did we meet when we are about to leave… Wood Pecker!!!! We will so delighted, cos this is the 2nd characters which we met today. I am not sure whether it is due to the rain, we did not see any other characters like the heroes of Madagascar and Shreks and the gang. So of course, my boys were excited to see Woodpecker. We quickly queued up for a phototaking with it.We left at 7.15pm.. it was a fun-filled day for us. But poor daddy is the most tired person among us, Cos the boys kept asking him to carry. :(
