Time seems to past so fast, Jayden would soon be graduating from his K2 in another half year time to another new stage of his school journey.
Today, I met up with his English and Chinese teachers to better understand about his progress in class. Both teachers comment that he is serious and take pride in his work and can do his work independently , pay attention in class. (huh… I was thinking are you sure you are talking about Jayden???? keke.. I know I sound bad, but he is never like this at home… :D Even my mom laugh and seems inconvincible when I told her this. :P )
But on some occasion, he do has his moment when he hand in slack work; when he wants to finish his work fast to play toys or with his friends, he tend to zoom through his work too fast, with careless mistake here and there.
His daydreaming in class habit is significantly better as compared to when he was in K1 as what the teacher mentioned.
He is a rather reserved boy who doesn’t mix around with all the kids in class. But he do have his few friends which he love playing with and talking to. But overall, he is mostly a quiet boy who doesn’t give teachers must problem.
Jayden’s Chinese teacher commented that her first impression of him when she started teaching him in K1 was – this boy is far too quiet and she was worried that he can’t really talk. But after observing him when he doing his work and having one to one reading session with him, she comment that he is good, and knows his stuff well. And she mentions that he can read very well. She is very satisfied with Jayden’s performance in class. (Deep down, of course I would feel proud of my boy to hear such comments from teacher. :p)
His main area for improvement is speech. He doesn’t converse well ,especially in mandarin, and when teacher ask him a question, he need to pause for quite a moment before he can answer. I will be working on this area with Jayden, with the suggestion given by the teacher.
After speaking with his teachers, I feel very happy and relief that Jayden is in good hands with such caring, loving teachers. I can feel that the teachers really care about the kids from the bottom of their heart. Jayden is blessed to meet so many nice, patient teachers all along his learning path till now.
