Road Trip to Genting and Cameron Day 4 (Strawberry Farm)

Firstly we started off with a late morning breakfast as my boys woke up very later at 9.40am. Secondly, Javier was sick, he started vomiting at 4am. which results in both of us did not really sleep well from then on. He keep waking up to vomit while I just cannot sleep seeing him so unwell. Luckily Javier was not cranky although he don’t feel well, he just want us to carry him which D took up this role for most of today.

We still went ahead with our sight seeing although I drop off a few sight attractions as I don’t want to overload Javier and wanted him to go back to rest. After discussing with D, we decided to go strawberry Farm, Boh Tea Plantation and Butterfly Farm.Javier with his pacifier, 2 pillow cases and his dolphin soft toy.

While D went to get some food, we took some pictures. I like this picture which was taken by Jayden. There is a outdoor and indoor dining area. We chose the outdoor as the air is fresher and lesser crowd. This picture was taken by Javier.

Monkey see Monkey do… he saw us keep snapping pictures and also wanted to try take pictures like us!!

This is our buffet for the 2 day. The food is quite standard with local and western type. My boys were very interested in this area. You see the little hand at the bottom right…. That is Javier’s hand, he can even leave his precious pacifier there to take the cereal!!!! This is the food for my boys, but Jayden is more interested in playing with the cereal while Javier has no appetite at all. So ended up we ate it.After our breakfast, we started with our sight seeing. Our first stop is EQ Strawberry Farm. Actually strawberry farm is everywhere in Cameron Highlands. So we just randomly selected this farm for our strawberries picking. At the entrance of the farm, we saw this lady selling some fruits and vegetables. I saw this Cameron Apples and think it taste quite special, it taste nothing like apple. So in the end, we bought 3kg of Cameron apples home for our family and neighbors. The flesh of the apples, kinda look like mango! After reading the book “Carrot Soup”, Jayden develop a slight interest in carrot. He was very curious and ask me what is that? Because the carrot we normally eat is orange in colour. The broccoli has much longer stem as compared to the one I bought in the market. (or is it the one which I bought already has their stem cut off?????)

Before we can go into the strawberry picking area, we were being told that min weight of the strawberry picked must be 500g for RM20. ????? (That is not the practice in the Genting Strawberry farm which I went last time… there is no min weight required there.) Pots and Pots of strawberries hanging on top.Me and Jayden picking picking strawberries. D and Javier did not join us as we feel that it is quite difficult to walk carrying Javier in this narrow place. The Red Juicy Strawberries that tasted really very very very sour!!!!! :{ Jayden holding to the strawberry he picked. This is the slippery “stairs” which lead to another level. It is very dangerous to walk in this place with the narrow pavement and steep stairway. Jayden slips at one of the stairway and so we quickly end our strawberry picking trip. :( Part of the strawberry which we picked.

I don’t know whether other farm is the same as this one. But I did not have a good experience here and it is much too dangerous for kids to walk. If I ever come to Cameron again, I would definitely not choose this strawberry farm again!
