We were really looking forward to the Navy open house today as my boys would be seeing the navy ship for the 1st time. After much delaying at home, we finally left for Singapore expo at 10.30am. When we reached expo, it was already 11.30am as we spend quite some time looking for parking lot. So we decided to have our lunch at Burger King before we proceed for the Navy open house.
After our lunch, we walked over to Expo hall 1 to take a free shuttle bus to the Changi Naval Base for the navy open house.
Just look at the queue for the shuttle bus to changi Naval Base!!! It was so long, but luckily the queuing time was very short as there were alot of buses
I was expecting a lot of people goint to the Navy Open house, but I was not prepared to see 'so many people', the extra extra long queue for any activity and ship tour really dampened my mood... plus it is really unbearable to walk under the scorching hot sun especially for the 2 boys. Frankly speaking, we got no mood to queue up for the ship tour. The average waiting time for 'anything' is 90mins. So we decided to give all these ship touring a miss.
We just walk along the pier to look at all those ship. Javier refused to walk most of the time, so daddy got to carry him. Partly the reason why he refused to walk is due to the hot weather, secondly is because he sees alot of soldiers and navy officer walking about, and he has a phobia being around them, so he keep cringing to us.Whereas for Jayden, he was fascinated with these ship and keep asking us question about the ship.
Javier started to enjoy himself towards the end of the trip. He is more willing to walk by himself after having his snacks.
After having our snack, we proceed to the family activities section for our tattoo.
Although, we did not board the ship and thus do not have a real experience inside the ship, but seeing the ship really up close is a eye opener for us too.
Javier was really tired after this trip. After drinking his milk, he dozed off in his car seat.
