Homeschooling Week 37 and 38

This is an overdue post, and I am glad that I finally got time to do it. During these 2 week home learning, we are on the watermelon theme.

Activities on Letter W

As usual, the dot a art activity is a must have as Javier like it so much. So we did 2 dot art activity.
Letter W hunting:

divider Language
I introduce spelling for 1 to 5 to Javier. At this current stage, he is not too keen in learning the spelling, but he enjoyed forming the words based on the printed ‘two’ on the paper. :(

We also learnt things that start with “W”

divider Learning Maths

1) We did some worksheet on counting and tracing one.
He is good in his counting and able to this activity by himself. (He loves me to put star on his worksheet to reward him for the work well done! And off he would running off to show off to his gorgor that he had stars in his worksheet.) :D

2) We learn simple fraction like whole, half and quarter. I saw a simple felt watermelon for this activity.

3) Watermelon patterning
I find that he is rather week in doing patterning. Hope that by practicing more, he would grasp the concept soon.

4) We did counting melon seeds to fix up the melon puzzle.

5) Number of seeds matching to the number on the melon.
6) Again a counting activity.
After the numerous counting activity that we had for these 2 weeks, Javier is rather good in his counting now.
