Thailand Trip Day 02 - Day Activities

Swiss Sheep Farm

---------------------------------------------------

Well well, super hot day. But we were really excited to be here,  I love sheep. And I believe most kids love animals and my boys are no exceptional.

The Swiss Sheep Farm is just opposite Santorini Park, an European style countryside farm with scenic meadows. This place is great for family with young children. There are lots of places and decorations for photo taking. I think the highlight for this place is feeding the animals for my boys. They really enjoyed feeding the sheeps.

Saw some Halloween decoration along the way.

Mummy… What is the spiderman doing up there? ^^

The sheeps are too cute, couldn’t stop snapping pictures of them.

The hungry kids(baby sheep) vying for the milk. So poor thing to see the them pushing each other to drink the little bit of milk.

This poor little thing was so hungry that it licked my leg when I was squatting down to take picture of it.

Saw some ducks and black swans lazing by the river. Such a serene sight.

Had just wanted to take this picture with hubby, but my little light bulb insisted to join in.

I was quite surprise that she agree to take picture with this scary spider. She told me this is itsy weensy spider.

It was too hot and my kids couldn’t wait to escape from this place and rejected my suggestion to play in this playground.

The last animal which greeted us before we made our way out. Overall we had a really fun time here feeding the animals and its definitely a great learning experience for Joelle to get so up close with the animals.

Plearnwan Vintage Village

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

After the trip to Swiss Sheep farm, we went to the Plearwan Vintage Village. So what does PlearWan means? Plearnwan is derived from a combination of the English words 'Play and Learn', together with a Thai word ‘Wan’ that means yesterday.

It is Thailand’s first vintage village. An open-air mall, Plearnwan feels more like a living museum where you can experience the life of the 1950s Hua Hin.

It is highly popular with the local tourists due to the great photo opportunities here.

In this open lawn area with the 2 storey wooden building, it has shops selling clothes,  inexpensive plastic-and-tin toys, snacks, beauty salon, food stall…. I did not really explore all the shops there as Joelle was already tired from the earlier trips.

Crispy Pancakes which is so yummeh. The best that I had tried in Hua Hin, so missing it now.

A very clean and well maintained dining place.

We had a quick lunch here before we head back to our hotel.

Plearnwan Vintage Village

Located between Hua Hin soi 38 and 40, opposite Klai Klangwon Palace

Monday – Thursday from 10 am – 10 pm
Friday from 10 am – midnight
Saturdays from 9 am – noon
Sundays from 9 am – 10 pm

It is a really nice place to shop, eat and just have a feel of the vintage atmosphere. I really wanted to spend more time exploring this place but it do get kind of challenging with 3 monkeys with me, especially a tiring one. Do give this place a visit if you are here.
