Update: Javier Swim lesson

Currently, Javier is into his 3rd month of swimming class – 9th lesson. He  is progressing well in his swimming lesson, but he still show some reluctant-ness  when it is time for his swimming lesson. In order to divert his attention, I am grateful for the bigger kids playing with him to lessen his fear when it is time for his lesson. He do enjoy playing water a lot, but that could not be said when it comes to swimming lesson.

This is how he looks 10 minutes before the lesson starts…. He started to get worried and stressful as the time tick closer and closer to 6pm. Just to side track abit.. don’t you think he look like this minion. (laughing!!!!!)
Luckily the coach has his way to calm him down. And I am also glad to note that his “sob” episode for his swim lesson is getting shorter as compared to the initial stage. Today he only sob for a mere few minutes and started to enjoy his lesson.

Today lesson consists of practicing their breaststroke and freestyle.

He has start learning back stroke since last week. Over here, he is practicing his star float to prepare him for the back stroke. He is doing pretty well and he was so happy when the coach praise him. (smiling)
After they learnt to float, it is time to learn the leg kicking.
He was so happy and enjoying that he even gave me a smile!
I would say that among the 3 swim strokes, back stroke seems to be easiest for him so far, he learnt quite fast for this stroke and was so eager to swim for the coach to see.

I am glad to see that he is starting to enjoy his swim lesson now, but it would be even better if there is no crying episode la (^_-)
